Sweden Defensive from Yasaka is a blade produced in the famous table tennis factory in Tranas, Sweden. Most defensive players are looking for optimal soft touch of the ball combined with exceptional feeling and control. Yasaka’s Sweden Defensive is designed to meet that demand. Fractionally softer outer veneers and a slightly enlarged head in comparison to traditional blades, give the Sweden Defensive it’s unique characteristics.

Lacquered by the factory, no sealing process required.

A Yasaka chopping blade... doesn't really ring a bell, right? The popular ones are the Koji Matsushita and Def Play Senso, that kind of thing. But this Sweden Defensive turned out to be a pretty solid blade too.
Because it goes right down the middle of what a chopping blade should be, its defining feature is that it has no particular quirks. It's easy to do anything with. Of course it doesn't have the bounce of an attacking blade, but you don't need that in the first place. Everything a chopper needs is packed into this one blade. It's the kind of blade that people who get it, get.

The blade is a bit bigger than other chopping blades, so both attacking shots and chops land easily — I think it's a good recommendation for beginners. It makes a nice "tok" sound on contact and feels easy to hit with.
