Bought this at a Kokusai Takkyu (International Table Tennis) store in Tokyo.
The blade is thin, so even with the carbon, the bounce is kept down — not quite as much as pure wood, but enough to make spin easy to put on.
The ball flying off unpredictably has become less of an issue, so now I can really rip loop drives against backspin.
For smashes and flat hits, it feels roughly like: Mace Advance < Layer ALC.S < Layer ALC.
This is just my personal preference, but using a softer rubber gives a nice feel on contact and I think it makes for an outstandingly stable blade.
Watch out though — if your backhand rubber doesn't have much bounce, you might end up netting the ball a lot!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Bought this to step up from a beginner's all-wood blade. I figured it'd be lighter than the ALC since the blade is thinner, but the weight only differs by 1 gram, so watch out for that. It's obviously heavier than a 5-ply all-wood blade, but I think high-school-age or older male players should be able to swing it without trouble even with a heavier rubber on it. Because the blade is thin, topspin rallies from away from the table feel a bit lacking in power, but I feel the short game and control are good. I haven't tried the ALC so I can't really compare them, but I think the ALC.S is for people who want to put spin on the ball close to the table, while the ALC is for people who want power. (Personally, a lot of people around me use the ALC and I didn't want to have the same blade as everyone else, so I went with the ALC.S. I'd recommend everyone try it out before buying.)

Switching to this blade from a high-bounce inner-carbon blade, my impression is that rallies close to the table are really easy, and control over the table is easy too, so receives are excellent. Even swinging from mid-distance, the arylate carbon gives you enough power that you rarely lose out to your opponent's shots. When I dropped back away from the table, the power did feel weaker than with my previous blade, but when I'm back that far I'm basically only lobbing anyway, so I didn't find anything to complain about there. This blade doesn't clash with any rubber you pair it with, and with a 5.5mm thickness that makes spin easy to put on, I'd recommend it to players who want both stability and power.

It feels like an even easier-to-use version of the Innerforce Layer ALC.
For people who don't have a lot of muscle strength, who prioritize spin, or who make heavy use of short-game techniques, this one blade might honestly be enough on its own.
Even if you put on Tenergy or Dignics, it tames that wild, hard-to-control feeling nicely.

You can swing full topspin drives with this blade from close to the table or mid-distance too.

Nothing beats Rozena (Experience: ４〜５ years) Really great spin

This blade is outstandingly stable, above all else. My topspin drives go in over and over, and it puts plenty of spin on the ball, so as someone who prioritizes spin, I have no complaints. The weak point is that the speed is a bit lacking, but other than that it's not bad at all. Also, if you're picking a rubber for it, I think something soft like Rozena would pair well.
