The inner-build "Liberta Synergy" felt so good that I couldn't resist trying the outer-build "Plus" version - it was an impulse buy.
The blade size, the slightly slim grip, the slight thickness - all exactly the same as the inner version.
When I actually hit with it... the shock absorption and rebound of the new "Izanas Carbon" material come through much more clearly than on the inner version! The way it wraps the ball at the moment of impact and then snaps it back out instantly is honestly something none of the special materials before this have had. "The hitting surface is like a trampoline" is the comparison that fits best. Power drives feel unbelievably good! Attacking shots hit with a "connecting" mindset fly out fast, so it takes some getting used to. Blocks and stops are, oddly enough, easy to do! That's the overall impression.
As for ease of use, the inner version wins, but if you want to feel the appeal of Izanas, go with the Plus. If you have the skill to match the blade's performance, it's an exceptional piece of equipment. Well done, Darker!
(Addendum) It seems a tension rubber with a harder sponge suits it best. You get both stability in the short game and power on your drives at the same time!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

The Liberta Synergy is an "inner" build, but the Liberta Synergy Plus is an "outer" build.
I play short pips on my forehand and inverted rubber on my backhand.
It's great either way - flicking with short pips on one side, driving with inverted on the other, so it's really high-performance.
The blade itself grips the ball and sends it up quite a lot, so if you're not used to it you'll rack up a lot of overshoot misses.
That's why I rated control a 13.
Once you get used to it, the control is outstanding too.
As for the feel, Darker (the maker) says it keeps the feel of a single-ply hinoki blade despite using a special material,
and that's exactly right.
It didn't feel like a "special material" blade at all, which is why I gave it a 13.
This blade gives more distance than the regular Liberta Synergy.
It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth buying.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
