I tried these side by side, and the Darker is seriously impressive.
It was better than the two blades above in every way.
It's not a major brand, so I hesitate when the price gets high, but please give it a try.

I use the ST version.
I've loved both the design and the feel since my college days, and I've gone through several of these over time.
It's a 7-ply blade, but the weight doesn't really bother me, and I can still swing it properly even with thick tension rubber on both sides.
The feel on contact is exactly what you'd expect from Darker.
The more you use it, the more that pleasant hinoki feel comes through in your hand, and my forehand just flies.
I've strayed to other brands' special-material blades a few times, but I always end up coming back to the feel of the 7P-2A.
A classic blade that works with just about any rubber!

Setting performance aside, the feel on contact alone is fantastic.
Honestly though, it's pretty mediocre overall.

It's listed as semi-hard
going by its actual hardness rating,
but the feel itself is
extremely, extremely
soft.

It's the exact opposite
of the sharp, hard "bang" feel
of special-material blades —
instead you get an exquisite, moist hinoki-wood kind of feel.
But its offensive characteristics
are still firmly those of a proper 7-ply blade,
which is strange.

If your forehand drives tend to fly long,
if your backhand drives won't go in,
if a 5-ply blade doesn't give you enough power,
or if you're generally lost when it comes to equipment,

using this blade
might just make those worries disappear.

To gain something
you're supposed to have to give something up,
but this blade ignores that principle of equivalent exchange entirely —
it's an incredibly greedy blade.

It excels at everything,
but if I had to pick one thing,
it would be drives with both hands.
