I heard that Mr. Shiono co-developed this, so I gave it a test hit.
It's amazing — you can now hit heavy chops and heavy drives!
It has carbon in it, but you wouldn't know it — it feels purely like wood.
Chops are easy to put spin on, and drives are easy to hit.
It's completely different from the Matsushita Special, another carbon-infused defensive blade.
What surprised me was that even with carbon inside, it's easy to keep the ball under control!
As a guideline, I'd recommend it for intermediate to advanced players.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I've used more than 20 different defensive blades so far, and personally this is my favorite.
First, because it has inner carbon, the feel is close to wood (slightly on the harder side) and you can really feel yourself putting spin on the ball. I was struck by how comfortable that feel is. It avoids the common carbon-blade issue where the ball just flies off without any feedback to your hand, which gives a great sense of reassurance.
But when you attack, it still bounces well and generates power, and the control for pushes and chops is excellent — it's truly an all-around top performer.Also, you can choose from several grip types, and among them the SHC (short straight) is great for using your wrist, so if you're curious, I'd suggest giving it a hold.
If I had to find a downside, the top ply is a bit weak so there's some risk of it peeling, so I'd recommend applying racket coating when you buy it.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I got the SHC grip, and it has a hold that reminds me of the Matsushita Pro model. Honestly, that alone made it worth buying. The SHC grip is great for letting you snap your wrist, which makes forehand pushes over the table especially easy.
Also, even though it has carbon in it, the bounce isn't overly strong, so chop control is excellent. Before using it I figured it was more for aggressive choppers, but surprisingly it also works great for the steady, defense-first type who builds chances before attacking. It's that easy to use. If you're a mid-to-advanced level chopper trying to decide on a blade, I'd recommend this one.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
