    STIGA Genesis II Spin is a spin oriented updated version of the original STIGA Genesis. Genesis II Spin combines the best of the major table tennis cultures into one rubber. It has a potent synthesis of Japanese/STIGA developed OCS-technology, Swedish knowledge and a new ultra spinny elastic top sheet made in China. The new tacky top sheet is developed specially for the ABS-ball in order to create maximum spin.       I use this thick on my forehand. This rubber overturns the image that tacky rubbers are hard. It has a decent amount of tack, but the sponge is on the softer side, so it grips the ball well and sends it flying.
      It's really easy to put spin on, and even if it's your first tacky rubber, you can pick it up without any resistance.
      Don't expect much in terms of speed, but I'd recommend it even to people who aren't confident in their arm strength.

      Very easy to use — both chopping and attacking feel easy. It's a tacky rubber, but I didn't feel any extra weight, and I could hit with a feel closer to tension rubber.
      Also, it's easy to vary the spin sharply on serves and pushes, which I really liked.
      I'd recommend this for players just getting into tacky rubbers, or for choppers.

      Used this on a plywood penhold looper blade.

      Forehand hitting… doesn't bounce much
      Topspin drive… barely bounces with a thin contact. But hit it thick and you get amazing shots. Not just spin — the speed keeps up with tension rubbers too! And even with a thin contact you still get decent spin.
      Block… easy to do since it doesn't bounce much! Sidespin blocks stop really well too!
      Counter… hit it firmly and you get a great shot.
      Push… really good. The sheet is soft, so even though it's tacky, the ball sinks properly into the sponge.
      Short game… again, easy since it doesn't bounce much (lol)
      Overall… since the sheet is soft, the ball sinks in more than any tacky tension rubber I've used before… and the weight is about the same as a German tension rubber, so it's totally swingable…
      Nothing but good points!!!
      Next I want to try it on a single-ply blade.
