If you swing all the way through, your topspin drive gets really fast! Control is a bit tricky. The ball flies a lot. It's also good for returning lobs.

This is an all-around rubber that combines ease of use, stability, and destructive power. Isn't this the rubber that made VICTAS famous? I see it being used by players ranked at the top of the prefecture too, so it must be a seriously high-performing rubber. I was surprised that even though I put it on a Joo Se-hyuk blade, chops still bit and stayed low, and the attacking performance was outstanding. I really want choppers and intermediate-or-above attacking players alike to give this a try!

The defining feature of this rubber is, above all, its speed. The sponge is hard, but the topsheet seems to be soft, so the feel on the ball is also soft and comfortable. Some things to watch out for with this rubber are that the rubber itself is very heavy, and because it's built for speed, the grip on the ball is a bit lacking. It also has a lot of bounce, so if you pair it with a blade that's already very bouncy, I think it will bounce too much and become hard to control. So I think pairing it with something like TSP's Swat would give you a good balance of speed and control.

Switched over from PLAXON 400 on a shop staff member's recommendation.
Using 2.0mm on the B side of a STIGA Offensive Wood NCT.●Good points
- Even though the blade is soft, shorts and blocks are fast.
- The grip on the ball is good, so spin-heavy techniques like a sharply-cut push or a topspin drive are easy to control at will.●Weak points
- Heavy
- The trajectory tends to be flat, so it lacks stability.
Put another way, if you can master it, it's hard for opponents to return.I put it on just as the shop staff recommended, but I think Stiff is easier to handle.

Japanese American Chopper Monster rubber

There's nothing this rubber can't handle in either offensive or defensive techniques, but chops were a bit tricky. Still, once you get used to it, you can put real bite on your chops, so I'd recommend it for intermediate to advanced choppers. The topspin drive really did feel, just like advertised, like it accelerated after bouncing on the opponent's side of the table, and when I blocked a hard hit, it turned into a counter-block that went right back onto the opponent's side. Lobs and fish shots were both easy to pull off too. It's fast enough that smashes go past the opponent untouched and blocks become counter-blocks, the spin is heavy enough that a full swing drive makes the opponent overshoot and a chop using the wrist causes even advanced players to net it -- a rubber that truly lives up to the name "monster rubber." I personally haven't used Tenergy, so I can't compare it to that.
