The Mark V "family" of rubber sheets are the most famous among the top players all over the World. The aim was, when developing MARK V XS to offer a rubber with superior spin characteristics without losing too much speed. The way the Yasaka technicians achieved this is: - the balance or raw material for the top sheet was changed - some new chemicals where added - the production process is improved The result is D.A.T., D ouble A cceleration T echnology, which gives the rubber extremely strong spin possibilities and good speed.

Ituyu (Experience: 2〜3 years) Outstanding stability

I used the special pressure version as my second rubber.
It doesn't have all that much speed, but it's stable and I think it's easy for beginners to handle.
Since it's slightly tacky, spin comes on more easily than with regular Mark V.
To the touch, the sponge feels fairly hard. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Novice kid (Experience: 4〜5 years) Not bad for backhand

I used the max thickness version.
This is a slightly tacky version of Mark V.
It keeps Mark V's performance while adding a bit more spin thanks to the light tackiness. On the forehand it feels a bit lacking in speed,
but the ball sinks in nicely, and it gives you stable, if unflashy, play on the backhand for topspin drives, counters, and blocks.I'd recommend it for the backhand as a step up from beginner gear.
It's not a bad choice either for cost-conscious intermediate players. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

night (Experience: Less than a year) Hard, but perfect for the backhand side

I put it on my forehand and it felt like it didn't fly much despite being on the harder side.
It has the same feel as regular Mark V with great stability, but if you play with a brushing forehand stroke, it lacks power.
If you rely a lot on flat hitting, it's easy to use on the forehand though.
As a test, I switched it to my backhand and found an ease of use I'd never felt before.
I moved my Fly Att Soft from the backhand to the forehand, and since this one flies more than the XS, it felt better on the backhand.
The forehand still has room for improvement, but on the backhand it was so stable I almost feel like the XS has it settled.
It makes a nice sharp "pakiin!" sound too, so I've been forcing myself to hit with it on the backhand, haha.
It's hard and semi-tacky, so I never would have thought to put it on the backhand, but I think this is actually a backhand-only rubber. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Yutchi @ cut Mark V with a slight tackiness

This is Mark V with a bit of tackiness added. Mark V itself is a hugely popular rubber, but I bet not many people know about this semi-tacky version. It feels like it keeps Mark V's easy-to-use character while making it easier to get spin! Since Mark X is a rubber that can do a bit of everything, this one feels like it keeps that same all-around Mark V performance while boosting the spin. Compared to modern tension rubbers, the raw numbers on each stat are lower, but that's exactly what makes it so easy to use!

This is the tacky version of Mark V. Apparently the sheet and sponge don't work in sync, which makes it easy to use. It's easy to generate speed, and since it's (semi-)tacky, you get spin too. It keeps that easy-to-use feel of Mark V. If you ever start finding Mark V lacking, I think this is worth trying.

Kutch (Experience: 4〜5 years) Kind of half-baked, maybe

It's true that it spins well for a Mark V, but it's not quite on the level of Chinese rubbers like Hurricane — kind of an in-between rubber.
