The New Spin Machine!
No speed glue is needed! Trough continues testing it has been possible to concentrate the "tension increase" on the spin factor. Until now , "tension rubber" concentrated on increasing spin and speed equally but with the Yasaka concept the "spin tension" increase by 2/3rd and the speed tension increased by 1/2.XTEND does develop superior spin characteristics especially useful for the 40 mm ball.

This is a Yasaka rubber without any weird quirks—one of the veterans by now.
Compared to rubbers coming out from various makers today, it falls short on spin and speed, but it's overwhelmingly easier to use.
Both speed and spin are just okay—to put it negatively, it's kind of middle-of-the-road—but that in-between feel is just right for your first tension rubber.
I think using this rubber as a stepping stone will help you improve further with whatever rubber you use next.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

This is a classic entry-level tension rubber. It can do everything, and it's easy to learn the feel of putting spin on the ball. Since the feel is soft, I think it's also easy to learn the basic strokes with.
One strength is that when you miss, it's very easy to tell why—whether you missed the sweet spot, didn't let the ball sink into the sponge enough, or didn't brush it enough—so it'll be a great partner for beginners and intermediate players working on improving!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is for beginners to tension rubbers.
Maybe it's just coincidence, but I often see long-pips players using it on their backhand side.
The power on topspin drives is low, but
I think it would be good for penhold fast-attack players.
Serves felt hard to put spin on.

My impression is that it's an entry-level tension rubber.
The feel is soft and it's easy to handle. My 6-year-old son uses it, and if you hit it properly, it makes a nice sound.

First off, it was really easy to generate spin with.
When I put it on the XTD, which was made specifically for Xtend, the match was perfect.
I could use it for serve and receive, of course, as well as topspin drives and chops. Perfect for both offense and defense.
I've heard people say the lifespan is short, but if you put Butterfly side tape on it, the sheet won't chip, and if you also put a TSP tacky protective sheet on the surface, it holds up fine. (It gets a little tacky-feeling though...)
Anyway, it was a perfect rubber. One I'd definitely recommend.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

You can really dig the ball into the sheet and sponge when you hit, so the feel on contact is fantastic.
It's not great for drives where you brush/graze the sheet, but if you dig in it's easy to do.
The balance is good, but it starts chipping away at the edges, so the lifespan is short.All Speed Spin Control
