I've used this on both forehand and backhand. On the forehand you can hit powerful topspin drives — it holds its own against Tenergy. On the backhand, I found the basic strokes easy to execute. I'd recommend it to beginners and intermediate players. Definitely give it a try.

I used this on my backhand. Honestly, it felt a bit underwhelming for a tension rubber. Blocks and half-volleys are stable, but I didn't really feel the things you want from a tension rubber, like the ball spinning on its own or that extra kick after the bounce. As for the arc on drives, I kept thinking, "at this speed, shouldn't it dip down a bit more sharply?" My impression is that it's a rubber that matches its price, so honestly, why not just go with XION instead? I expect "ultra high performance" from a Butterfly rubber...

Honestly, I didn't expect it to perform this well.
People call it a control-oriented rubber, but that's only compared to the spin-oriented tension rubbers the top players use. Compared to older tension rubbers like Bryce or Moristo, it's clearly ahead in both spin and speed.
On top of that, it's not very sensitive to incoming spin, so your receives stay stable too.
It's also a lighter rubber, which keeps your swing stable, and the topsheet is tough enough that it doesn't chip easily even if you catch the edge of the table.
For beginner to intermediate players, this is the kind of rubber that makes me want to say: don't bother reaching for a spin-oriented tension rubber you can't handle yet — just use Roundell instead.

I used it on my backhand.
My first impression was that even though it's a tension rubber, the control is good. Both pushes and flicks land in consistently. Also, the spin amount on serves was pretty good too!!

I use this on the backhand side of a shakehand blade.
It's a well-balanced rubber, and being on the softer side makes backhand flicks and blocks very easy to do. It's also lightweight, so even combined with other rubbers you can keep your blade's overall weight down - a well-balanced rubber.

I borrowed a friend's and tried it out. Spin-wise, I think it's ideal for intermediate players, backhand use, or people moving past the beginner stage. I feel like a lot of people actually use it on their backhand in matches. It's easy to use and reasonably priced too, so why not give it a try?
