• The Japanese have influenced an outstanding rubber development "Bluefire" which DONIC have successfully incorporated in the production of Formula DONIC (FD3 3rd Generation) Technology. The result: Bluefire JP01 and Bluefire JP03.
• This is a new type of pimpled rubber in combination with the proven, dynamic blue sponge but with a somewhat finer pored structure. This lends the rubber sensational feel, with maximum catapult and a very high arc of the ball. The very grippy, taut but elastic top surface rubber produces maximum spin when top-spinning and fantastic control due to increased contact on the bat.
• BLUEFIRE JP is a very consistent rubber and suitable for most players. The quickest and hardest sponge version, BLUEFIRE JP 01 is especially recommended for close to the table attacking players as well as those who prefer to play away from the table. BLUEFIRE JP 03 with a softer sponge has excellent playing qualities with optimum control. The perfect alternative for attackers as well as -power-allround- players, who value maximum control to return the ball under pressure in any situation. These are my impressions from receiving my friend's shots. My friend's blade was a Defplay Senso. He's a chopper. His chop is absolutely vicious. And on offense, it has about as much spin as the Chinese tacky rubbers intermediate players use (though there's no weird spin on it). When I asked him about it, he said the rubber has strong body and long life, but it's easy to pick up the opponent's spin. Also, the blue sponge stands out pretty noticeably.

This is from a drive-player's perspective.
I put it on the forehand of a TSP Ars Nova.
The sponge is hard, but the cells are large so it actually felt fairly soft.
When I hit topspin drives, the ball climbed up quite a bit and carried a good distance.
Keeping the racket angle low and hitting a fast drive gets decent spin and blazing speed!
Serves bite normally too!

Like Shiono did, I tried putting this on a Def-Play Senso V. The grip on the ball is excellent, so you get a lot of spin on every technique. The bounce isn't the kind that just flies off on its own, and the ball-holding feel is good too, so if you've got the basics down, chops are easy to keep under control. Rather than chopping in a soft, knuckle-ish way, I think it's easier and more stable to really commit and chop aggressively. It also has plenty of bounce when attacking, so topspin drives are easy to hit. It bounces when you hit, and doesn't bounce when you chop - I think this is a rubber with a great attack-defense balance that really covers what a chopper needs. That said, I think it's tough for beginners, so I'd recommend it for intermediate players and up.

Personally I love that sharp "smack" sound it makes when you hit it. Chops get a really good amount of spin - from the returning side it's pretty hard to attack. Chops tend to sink low, and flicks are easy too.
I used it on my forehand, but you can chop on the backhand too. Personally I felt backhand chops were a bit easier with this, though it probably depends on the player.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Chops are easy to keep under control, and I think it's hard for opponents to attack because the spin varies. If you just make contact it tends to go in. As for topspin drives, the ball is fast and the spin is good too. This is for intermediate players. If I had to describe it, it's like a Rakza X with just the speed cranked up. The feel off the ball is also similar to Rakza.

This review is from a chopper's perspective.
My blade doesn't have much bounce, so I used the max-thickness version.
When you're about to buy Bluefire JP01, I think the first thing you get stuck on is whether to go Turbo or not. What I want to say here is: try the regular JP01 first. Like some blogs mention, it's softer than the Turbo, so it bites in more when you chop and gives you more stability.
That said, the overall spin is a bit lower than the Turbo, so if you find the spin on your chops or serves lacking and you can maintain chop stability through your own skill, switching to the Turbo is also a good option.
Overall, this is a high-spec rubber. Both the spin and speed are excellent. I'd really recommend this rubber to choppers.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I met him in the spring of my second year of junior high.
His name was Yo-man - he could hit topspin drives but couldn't return a lob.
I taught him all kinds of things. I taught him how to hit topspin drives and lots of other stuff.
I also taught him how to choose rubbers.
And this rubber was one of those choices.
Now, I use this rubber myself too.
It's hard to master, but once you do, it's a really great rubber.
First, the spin is amazing. Second, it's fast. But the control is difficult.
Chops go in deep and with heavy spin. The short game over the table is easy too.
You could really call it perfect.
These days, I pick rubbers together with him. But it often ends up being this rubber.
That's just how great this rubber is.
