    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Aluerg is a hard rubber specialized for aggressive front-court play with highly stable counter and blocking shots. However, reviews show polarized evaluations due to its lower spin and speed compared to other premium rubbers, with satisfaction varying greatly depending on player power and skill level.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent stability and ease for counters and blocks at the front court
    • Hard sheet with good grip, but spin and speed performance fall short of expectations
    • Suited for power hitters and technical players; difficult for beginners
    • Serves and delicate touches like chikita are harder to control
    • Multiple reports of poor durability and short lifespan
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveResists opponent's spin influence and allows you to overwrite with your own attacks. Excellent for speed-type court-play shots like flicks and chikitas. This rubber helped me reach tournament finals thanks to superior counter performance.
▽ CriticalPoor spin generation compared to Faster P-1 with inferior spin performance. Speed output disappoints despite high price. Catalog specifications don't match actual performance quality, making it poor value for money.

Kyoto Leopard User (Experience: 2〜3 years) Made for flat hits, blocking, and countering

      Reviews by user

In a word, it feels like Hammond but with a bit more bounce.
The sheet's grip on the ball isn't great, and it's not very sensitive to incoming spin, so it suits blocking, countering, and hitting flat.
It's a rubber I'd recommend to players with a style like Zhang Yibo's. (He actually uses it himself, after all.)
That said, it's absolutely not suited to players looking for spin or power on the ball.
The gap between who it suits and who it doesn't is huge, so keep that in mind.

Kira (Experience: 2〜3 years) My favorite

      Reviews by user

I personally love this one, a ton.
Given the nature of the rubber, I think it goes bad quickly if you don't keep a protective sheet on it properly.
      Drives go in really well.
Smashes tend to fly off the table a lot since it's a firm rubber.
So I ended up using it for forehand blocking.
It's more like drives on the forehand, smashes on the backhand, sort of setup.
Blocks come back just by touching the ball.
That said, if you put too much power into it, it does fly off.
      It's a really great rubber!

Alrightly (Experience: 6〜10 years) Hammond α Pla compatible version

      Reviews by user

...I honestly can't quite figure this one out.
Both speed and spin are just average.
It's similar to Hammond α - it feels like the sheet and sponge don't quite match each other.
I'd say the sheet is on the firmer side while the sponge is soft.
I bought mine in the [medium] sponge thickness, by the way.

Motoko Kusanagi (Experience: 4〜5 years) Rubber used by Zhang Yibo

      Reviews by user

This is the rubber used by Zhang Yibo, the player who beat Ma Long, currently ranked world No. 1. It's on the firm side. The packaging is really well made, and the rubber feels carefully sealed up. And even though it's not a tacky rubber, it comes with a protective film over the sheet!
As for performance, the feel on contact is on the hard side, so as someone used to Chinese rubbers, it didn't feel off to me. It grips the ball fine for spin. But I can't say the speed is great! (Well, it's not a tension rubber, so...) If you're a fan of Zhang, give it a try.

Nora (Experience: 6〜10 years) For powerful players

      Reviews by user

I switched to this rubber but ended up switching away again after just three days. That's not because the rubber is bad, but because I don't have enough power.
Since I personally don't have much strength, countering close to the table is easy, but the moment I step back even a little, the ball flies off before it can sink into the rubber, and I found it hard to control.
I think this is a rubber I could recommend to someone confident in their power who's good at countering and hitting flat close to the table.

      love v-01 (Experience: 6〜10 years) This is……

      Reviews by user

I bought this based on the catalog specs, but honestly the catalog numbers for both spin and speed feel way overstated. Speed obviously depends on each person's power, but compared to the Fastarc P-1 I had on before, the speed dropped drastically.
The spin is bad too - it barely grips the ball at all... Hitting it side by side with the Fastarc P-1, the catalog claims the Alhelg spins more than the Fastarc P-1, but honestly the Fastarc P-1 spins way more. The spin on the Alhelg felt on par with, or even below, Hammond. I was hoping for good performance given the high price, but... It doesn't bounce much either, so I peeled it off after a week.
On the plus side, I think blocking and countering are easy. Well, that's kind of a given since it doesn't bounce much, and counters don't get much speed either.
Personally, I really can't recommend this one.
For the same price, I think you'd be much better off buying something like Fastarc G-1, P-1, or V-15 Extra.

I think both the spin and the speed are good.
That said, it was advertised as plastic-ball compatible, but I can't really say either way on that.
With this level of performance, I felt like Fastarc G-1 would do just as well.
      Still, I think it's a good rubber.
