All new for 2015 is the Nittaku Fastarc P-1! Solely designed for the polyurethane ball, this rubber has the best of all worlds from Nittaku's most popular and best selling rubber series - the Fastarc! Designed for close, mid & far distance play from the table it has the same soft strong sponge that has made the Fastarc Series of rubbers a fast, spinny and powerful rubber yet easy to control. The sponge uses the same medium hardness as the Fastarc G-1 but is super lightweight at 37.5 degrees. The pimple diameter is the same as the Fastarc S-1 and the gap between the pimples is slightly larger than the Fastarc C-1. The Nittaku Fastarc P-1 is for the player that wants to create spin, speed, power & precision while creating artistic shots!

Bisukaria A rubber opponents hate to face

How easy it is to play the short game close to the table is amazing. Not quite on the level of Tenergy 25, but pretty easy. Grazing drives just drop with a thud. Well, the Fastarc series is a rubber that shows its true power when you sink the ball into the sponge, so if I were to use this, I think I'd put it on my backhand. Also, the arc is low. The Fastarc series is supposed to be built with a high arc since it's focused on control, but this rubber's arc is low. That said, it's not too low - when you drive, you get a nasty ball that skims just over the net. It's really hard to block. Still, it doesn't have overwhelming speed or spin, and the rubber itself isn't light either, so I feel it's missing that one decisive selling point.

This is really good.
If you try to control it with a high arcing trajectory, it tends to go out,

The feel is softer than I expected. The topsheet feels on the firmer side, but the sponge is soft, so drives where you brush the surface are easy to hit. This rubber really has no quirks, and I think it's perfect for players transitioning from beginner to intermediate level.

I switched over from C1. It has good bounce and the feel is really nice too. Compared to C1, the trajectory is slightly lower and it lands deeper on the table. Control feels a touch worse than C1, but I think it's fine once you get used to it. Drives and the chiquita are easy to hit too. I run Hurricane 3 on my forehand and P1 on my backhand, but I think P1 on both sides would work well too.

My setup: Swat with F V15 Extra B and Fastarc P-1.
The short game is more than good enough. Pushes and chops grip the ball and have a bit of a quirk to them.
Flat hits also need some getting used to. Just like the description says, topspin rallies from far off the table are easy. I'd say it's on the speed-oriented side within the Fastarc lineup. Overall, I felt it really requires getting used to. Once you do, I think you can do a lot with it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The arc is lower than G1's but still plenty, and it has a decent amount of spin along with more speed than G1, so it suits players who want to win on speed. A light-brush drive works best, and flat hits are also easy to use without any issues. It's an easy-to-use tension rubber, and in my experience it doesn't have the "mystery drop" that G1 sometimes has, so if I were choosing one for my forehand, I'd probably go with P1.

I originally had P-1 on my forehand.
Now I use G-1 and Moristo SP.
In terms of speed, P-1 is the fastest in the Fastarc lineup.
Unlike G-1, the ball doesn't sink into it as easily, so serves tend to skid off.
Also, since the drive is speed-oriented, I felt it was a bit harder to lift backspin balls.
