I'll just go ahead and compare it to Spectrum Blue on my own (lol)
Speed — Spectrum feels like it goes through the ball more.
Spin — depends on how you hit it, but Spin Pips
though Spectrum also grabs the ball pretty easily
For sheer amount of spin it's Spin Pips, but it depends on your skill.
Topspin drive — if you're an arc-shot type, Spin Pips
If you're a speed type, Spectrum
Block — for ease of use, Spin Pips is the safe choice
With Spectrum, if you don't get the racket angle right, the ball will drop and it'll be frustrating.Spin Pips Blue is really a well-balanced rubber

It's easy to control both a driving block and a dead-stop block! Pushes are also easy to do, so I'd recommend it for short-pips players looking for consistency!

It grips the ball well, so you can keep your shots very consistent. That said, the speed that's the strong point of short pips is still pretty good too. If you're on the fence, I don't think you'll regret buying it.

The feel was really good and the thickness was just right for me. It was the medium sponge.
I'll probably stick with this rubber from now on.

For a short pips rubber, it grips the ball with a lot of spin. A chiquita with a closed racket angle goes in fine, but when countering close to the table, it doesn't snap back sharply and tends to produce a softer shot. (Might just be because I'm not that skilled though.)

I used this on my backhand for a while. It's easy to produce knuckle balls, and my pushes didn't tend to float up. Blocking your opponent's topspin drive by hitting through it tends to go in well.
