      I use the 1.3mm version. The ball releases fast and doesn't grip, so a light hit comes back almost as a knuckleball. Ironically, just blocking the ball makes control harder. When you hit hard, the ball tends to go a bit lower than a straight line, so you need to be conscious of your racket angle. Then again, that also means smashes are easy to hit.
      I said it doesn't grip the ball, but with the right technique you can still put a bit of spin on it. Low, fast, deep balls are this rubber's strong point. Your returns do tend to go deep. I'd want to pair it with a rubber that's easy to spin on the other side, and attack from there. This is really a rubber for making the most of your main attacking side.

      My impressions of using Killer's red 1.8mm on my backhand.
      It weighed about 38g.

      Counting replacements, I've used this for about 3 years total, and in terms of ball variation, I think it's the best among short pips.
      That comes with the trade-off of being quite hard to handle, but because the variation is one of a kind, once it lands you get a high chance of scoring or drawing an easy ball.
      Also, generating your own spin without using the opponent's spin is fairly difficult, so you need a tactic built around leaning hard into its strengths.
      It takes quite a while to master, but once you get hooked on it you can't get away from it (for you and your opponent alike), and it can even take down strong players.
      It's a very difficult rubber, but it's a great one to have if winning is the goal.

      I felt like this would be really hard for opponents to deal with. It's very hard to use myself, but if I really committed I could still get topspin drives in. That said, I often felt this rubber is better suited to meeting the ball flat. If you push through a push shot it turns into a knuckle ball, if you just push it stays low, and if you cut a drive downward the spin reverses like it would off long pips. I feel this rubber suits choppers or close-to-the-table speed players. The sponge is hard, so flat hitting comes easily. Because it's hard for me to use, I can also send back returns that are hard for my opponent to handle. If you master this rubber, I think your opponent will be genuinely scared (it suits singles; not doubles, because your partner will get balls back that are hard to return, lol).

      Just making contact sends over a low knuckleball, so it's hard for your opponent to deal with.
      If you can meet-hit well, you can attack almost as well as with inverted rubber, so there's no real sense of mismatch using it on both sides.
      That said, I wouldn't recommend using it on both sides, because you'll end up with no one willing to practice against you.

      First off, it's hard for me to use, but it seems to be even harder for my opponents. When I block, it produces a really nasty ball, and with backspin, if the angle is right, I can send a fast knuckle ball too. After switching to this rubber it takes time to get used to, but I think it's worth the time you put in.

      If you back off the table, you'll lose no matter how skilled you are - you'll lose control completely. The range of variation is amazing, but you can't even block properly with it, so for your own sake, don't put it on thinking it's just regular short pips.
