I'm not sure if it's the rubber compatibility, but my blocks fly right past the opponent untouched.

Like other reviews mention, it's just really light. Not only does your swing speed go up, your reaction precision improves too. So reflex blocks become really easy. And when you do hit, the ball is fast too (though it's not an out-of-control rocket blade). Overall I think it's an excellent racket. I only bought it out of curiosity, but it's become my main racket now. People might not be used to balsa, but it's cheap, so I'd like everyone to try it at least once.

The feel is really great, and the speed is insane too. When I hit a topspin drive, my practice partner told me it was too fast, he couldn't even get his racket on it. It's light and really easy to swing. The blade is a bit small, so you can't just move rubber over from another racket onto it. While this racket performs well, being light means the wood density is low, so it dents easily if it hits the table, and in the worst case it can crack. I wouldn't recommend it to people who often bump it against the table or throw it when they lose. For what it's worth, I accidentally hit someone practicing behind me and it cracked within about three months. My old racket (Korbel) would have been fine.

It's really light!!! Really great!!
Here are my impressions.
★ Quick forehand-backhand switches for reflex shots are faster
★ Easy to adjust wrist angle for reflex blocks
★ Easy to add spin with the wrist → easy on serves and mid-rally too
・ Easy to adjust shot power
・ Being light doesn't mean you get overpowered by the ball
・ The top ply is hard, plus there's glass fiber, so it has quite a bit of rebound
・ But since the core is balsa, the feel is a bit muted — more of a soft "tonk" than a sharp "clack"The feel isn't to my personal taste, but everything else is fantastic!

Gua Light blade with great bounce

I bought this wanting a lighter racket. The one I got weighed in at just 58g!
The blade feels kind of hollow, but thanks to the thick plies and the glass fiber on the surface, it still has good bounce.
For hitting-style techniques like smashes, blocks, and forehand flicks,
it's easy to use and generates a lot of power.
Also, since it's light, it's easy to swing all the way through and switch directions quickly. It's easy on the body too.On the other hand, techniques that need spin or fine control — like serves, loop drives, stops, and placement shots —
are harder to do.
My drives from further back weren't very stable either.
Because of the blade thickness and material, the ball just bounces off the surface, and there's no sense of grip on the ball.
Also, I started catching the ball on the edge of the racket a lot.Overall, since it's light and easy to use for hitting-style techniques, I think it suits smaller kids or female players better than power-hitting men.

I compared it with my old racket, the Taxime.
Bounce: Taxime > Black 7.0
Ball hold: Taxime < Black 7.0
Lightness: Taxime < Black 7.0
It's super light and easy to use — being light is handy in all kinds of ways.

I play penhold, using both sides. I used to use a Clipper Wood, but compared to when I was using the Clipper Wood, my swing speed has gone up, and I've been able to increase my shot speed too. I'd recommend this to anyone struggling with weight.
