The new benchmark for blocking close to the table

Dr. Neubauer GORILLA is our answer to the banning of frictionless long pimples. It is the perfect choice for all players who have previously used our 'Super Block', 'Inferno' or 'Scalpel' rubbers.

This revolutionary Anti-Topspin rubber enables a highly effective blocking game, even against strong topspin shots. GORILLA offers a decisive disruptive effect because the ball can be returned either short or long over the net. In both cases the ball tends to stay low after the bounce, which makes it extremely hard for an opponent to keep on looping the ball.
The good control of the rubber makes for easy returning of services, either passively or aggressively.

GORILLA is perfect too for a versatile game using aggressive pushing and lifting, whether against chopped or counter-attacked balls.

GORILLA also provides remarkably good playing characteristics when chopping. Strong topspin shots can be returned with enhanced backspin.

The best disruptive effect is created when using it with 0.6mm sponge.

Choose GORILLA and be surprised and fascinated by the good control and highly disruptive effect!

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Despite being an anti-spin rubber, this product receives attention for its unexpectedly strong spin capabilities and stability, standing out as a unique high-performance option. While the high price point is noted, overall satisfaction with performance is strong.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Exceptional spin generation despite being anti-spin rubber
    • Stable blocking and pushing performance
    • Powerful reverse rotation on cuts and drives
    • Versatile adaptation to multiple playing styles
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThis anti-spin rubber generates spin rotation! It feels like a combination of offensive, defensive, anti-spin, and pimple rubbers, making pushing strokes stable and allowing play with no-spin balls.
▽ CriticalThe product is priced aggressively with high specifications. It's paradoxical that it's insensitive to spin yet can apply spin and create backspin rotation.

      This is amazing.
It's antispin, but it still grabs spin!!!
You can also send knuckle balls, and pushes are really stable!!!
It feels like a mix of short pips, inverted rubber, antispin, and long pips...
I don't even know how to describe it...
Why not give it a try?

Chops are easy to cut sharply!
Just touching the ball on a block turns it into a heavily-spun backspin ball!
Pushes tend to float, so it takes some getting used to.

Kee (Experience: 6〜10 years) Take control of the rally

      Reviews by user

I bought the 0.6mm thickness version.
I'm a right-handed penhold close-to-the-table all-around/pips-out style player, and I use this pasted on the back side (I don't use reverse-side hitting techniques).
This rubber is strange, in a good way...
Even just touching the opponent's block often lets you return the ball low, and you can return knuckleballs too. Against drives, if you let the ball sink in and hit it, it seems to really reverse the spin back hard...?
With my racket combination it also gets good ball speed, and for some reason I can hit sharp balls even on the rise! I'd really recommend this to pips-out/all-around style players who like to move their opponents front-to-back and side-to-side!

A bold setup with both high performance and a high price. Weirdly, it feels completely numb to incoming spin, yet you can still put spin on with a push or generate backspin - a mysterious super rubber.

Performance that lives up to the price!

      Kaolin The packaging lol

      Reviews by user

My friends and I bought this as a joke, four of us together lol, but it's actually a pretty high-performance rubber for the packaging. If you ask whether the performance matches the price, not quite, but I'd say it's one of those rubbers any table tennis player would want to try at least once.
