  Wai Hai (Experience: １１〜２０ years) A game-changer with plastic balls — short pips with insane chop

  

  My impression used to be that this was a fairly hard long pips rubber focused on stability, but
  with the heavy, hard plastic ball, it's turned into a long pips rubber where anyone can get absolutely crazy spin reversal on their blocks (just my personal impression).

  Combining "low bounce, easy to reverse spin" with "hard, tall pips that reverse spin like crazy" is already impressive on its own,
  but what I think is really amazing is that
  it reverses spin whether you brush it with a grazing motion or hit it hard enough to lay the pips flat.

  Also, what's really important is that it has high stability, and it doesn't reverse spin just from simple contact.
  (Personally I think reversing spin just from simple contact is actually a pretty big weakness.)
  This is a long pips rubber I'd recommend to everyone, from long pips beginners to advanced players.
  And it's cheap too!

  かつては硬めで安定重視の粒高だった印象でしたが、
  重くて硬いプラボールで、誰でも・めちゃくちゃブロックが切れる」
  粒高に変貌しました（個人的感想）

  「低弾性で切りやすい」、「硬くて高い粒で超切れる。」の
  2点の両立だけでも凄いのですが
  「滑らせる切り方でも、ガッツリ当てて粒を倒す切り方でも切れる」
  というのが凄いところだと思います。

  あと超重要なのは、安定感が高いことと、当てるだけでは切れないこと。
  （当てるだけで切れるのって、個人的にはむしろかなりの弱点と思っています）
  粒高入門から上級者まで、全員にお薦めの粒高一枚です。
  しかも安い！

  (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Outstanding control and attacking power

  

  Used on one side of a reversible blade (Spin Ace Carbon). Since the blade itself already has a lot of bounce, I was struggling to match it with long pips rubber, but after switching to this rubber I've been able to keep the ball under control. The control is excellent too — when the ball makes contact, I get the feeling it'll land back on the opponent's side. It's a defensive rubber, but once you get the knack of swinging the blade, you can attack aggressively as well. Against choppers especially, I can keep up continuous attacks and swing the ball side to side without giving the opponent a moment's rest. The only weak point is the push — the speed is a bit slow and it's hard to aim tightly at a course. Friction Special 2, which has slightly lower pips, wins out there. But this rubber has enough going for it to make up for that. Just blocking with it produces a plain knuckle ball, but by swinging through fully you can switch into a surprise attack, or slide the blade for extra variation — it's the perfect rubber for someone with the skill to use it well. That said, since it's easy to control, I think beginners can pick it up easily too. This is a long pips rubber I'd love to see more people try.

  反転式ラケット（スピンエースカーボン）の片面に使用。ラケット自体が弾むので粒高ラバーの組み合わせに苦労していたのですが、このラバーに変えてから押さえ込むことが出来るようになりました。コントロール性能も高く、ボールが当たれば相手コートに返るイメージです。守備用のラバーではありますがラケットを振るコツさえつかめば積極的に攻撃することも出来ます。特に対カットマンでは相手を休ませないくらいの連続攻撃と左右の揺さぶりが出来ます。唯一、プッシュだけはスピードが緩くコースをきつく狙うことが難しいです。これは粒の高さがやや低めのフリクションスペシャル２などに軍配が上がります。でもそれを補う性能がこのラバーにはあります。ブロックで当てるだけなら単なるナックルにしかなりませんが、振り切ることでの意表を突いた攻撃への切り替えや、ラケットをスライドさせるなどプラスアルファの変化を付けられるなど、使いこなす技術を持った方には最適なラバーです。ただ、コントロールを付けやすいので初心者の方も受け入れやすいと思います。もっと多くの方に使ってもらいたい粒高ラバーです。

  Grain height orange (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Depends on the blade

  

  Since it's an OX rubber, I think it's affected quite a bit by the blade's characteristics,
  but I do think it's a well-balanced rubber, including the variation it produces.
  The pips are on the taller side, so it produces a fair amount of variation, and I think how you use it depends on whether you attack with pushes or stick purely to blocking.
  If you use a lot of push attacks, I think it works well with a 7-ply blade too.
  If you go purely for blocking, I think it pairs well with a defensive blade.

  一枚ラバーなのでラケット性能に左右されるとは思いますが、
  変化含めてバランスに優れているラバーだとは思います。
  粒が高めなので変化はある程度出るので、プッシュで攻撃するのかブロック一辺倒なのかで変わると思います。
  プッシュ攻撃を多用するなら7枚合版でも良いと思います。
  ブロック一辺倒でいくなら守備用ラケットとの相性が良いと思います。

  Miyanafu (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Cheap, high-performance rubber

  

  I used this rubber for most of the time I was playing with long pips. Since it's an OX rubber, it's easy to stop the ball. Even someone like me who switched to long pips because my backhand was weak found it easy to use — it's a rubber that pretty much anyone can handle.
  The pips are on the firm side and it's easy to get a sharp spin effect off them. That said, it doesn't just naturally produce spin on its own — you have to actively impart it yourself. But once you get the feel for it, it's easy to grasp, and that's when it gets fun. Spin is also easier to generate than expected, which makes attacking easy too.
  It's a well-balanced, high-performance rubber.

  粒高を使用していたときのほとんどの期間でこのラバーを使用していました。1枚ラバーのため止めやすいです。バックが下手で粒高にした私でも使いやすく、誰でも使いこなせる可能性があるラバーです。
  粒は硬めで切れやすいです。しかし勝手に切れる訳ではなく自分から切っていく必要はあります。ただその感触は掴みやすいのでそれが分かれば楽しくなります。そして回転も思った以上に掛けやすいため攻撃がやりやすいです。
  バランスが良い高性能なラバーです。

  Splinter (Experience: ２〜３ years) Good balance

  

  I think this is an OX rubber that's un-flashy in a good way. Even someone bad at the game (that's me) can handle it, and if a skilled player uses it, they seem to be able to play a wide range of shots. With my own skill level I can't produce huge variation, but I can play consistently from serve receive to stops to attacking. It's the kind of rubber where you can stop the ball decently and hit it decently. As a long pips OX rubber, I think it's really well balanced. On the flip side, it might feel lacking for someone who wants a sharp, standout strength.
  It's cheap, and unlike a normal OX rubber, it's easy to glue on. I think the value for money is really high, so if you're about to seriously get into long pips, I don't think you'll lose anything by trying it.

  いい意味で尖ってない1枚ラバーだと思います。下手な人（私のことです）でも扱えますし、上手い人が使えば幅のあるプレーができるようです。自分の腕では物凄い変化は出せていませんが、サーブレシーブからストップ、攻撃まで安定したプレーができています。そこそこに止まり、そこそこに打てるという感じ。粒高1枚としてはとてもバランスの良いラバーではないでしょうか。逆にいえば尖った強みが欲しい人には物足りないのかも。
  価格が安く、普通の1枚ラバーと違って接着剤でも貼りやすいです。コストパフォーマンスは非常に高いと思いますので、粒高にこれから本格挑戦しようという人なら試してみて損はないのではないでしょうか。

  Pen grain (Experience: ４〜５ years) Easy to use

  

  The variation might not be all that much, but it's decent.
  The control is really good, and it feels easy to use.
  It's easy to vary long and short, and I thought the pushes were pretty good too.

  変化はそこまでかもしれませんがまずまずです。
  とてもコントロールが良く使いやすい印象です。
  長短もつけやすく、プッシュもなかなか良いと思いました。

  Defenders (Experience: ２〜３ years) A rubber that favors speed over variation

  

  I've got this on the forehand of a Chinese penhold blade.
  My first impression was that this rubber prioritizes speed over variation.
  This really shows when you do a chop-style short push — if you catch the ball at the top of its bounce, you get a straight, fast ball. But if you catch it before the top, you get a spinny ball, so I also felt it's an all-around rubber.
  When hitting forehand drives, the pips being hard made it really easy to hit, I thought. So I'd recommend it for penhold-pips players who want to attack actively on the forehand.
  That said, because the pips are hard, receives tend to pick up the opponent's spin more, which I found difficult.
  To sum up, I think this is a rubber that prioritizes speed over variation and basically has no real weaknesses. It's an easy rubber to handle, so I'd recommend it to long pips beginners or anyone looking for consistency.

  中ペンのフォアに貼ってます。
  まず思ったのが、変化よりスピードを重視したラバーだと思いました。
  特にカット性ショートをすると分かるのですがボールの頂点を捉えると直線的でスピードのあるボールが出ました。しかし、頂点前で捉えると切れたボールが出るのでオールマイティーなラバーだとも思いました。
  フォア打ちをしてみると粒が硬いのもあり凄く打ちやすいと思いました。なのでペン粒で積極的にフォアで打つという人にお薦めできます。
  ただ、粒が硬いのでレシーブが相手の回転を受けやすいので難しいと思いました。
  まとめると変化よりスピード重視で基本的に弱点の無いラバーだと思います。扱いやすいラバーなので粒高初心者や安定感を求める人にお薦めできます。
