I wasn't confident in my swing speed, so I used the 05FX before moving on to Tenergy 05.
The difference I felt from the 05 was in the power of the ball.
With the 05, the speed difference is obvious just by watching.
That said, the 05FX is lighter so it's easier to swing, and since it doesn't bounce too much, your topspin drive stays more consistent — I think that's a good point.
For middle/high school students or women's players who want to try Tenergy for the first time, I'd recommend the 05FX.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's soft.
Compared to the regular 05, the ball sinks in more easily, spin is even easier to put on, and control performance is improved.
Since it's soft, putting it on the forehand causes a lot of power loss, so it's recommended for the backhand.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

I used this on my backhand.
There isn't a single technique that's hard to pull off. Serves and the short game were both really easy too.
My backhand drive against backspin in particular had insane power.
That said, I feel it lacks a bit of power for driving from away from the table. It's a rubber I'd recommend mainly for players who fight close to or at mid-distance from the table.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I put this on my backhand side and used it.
It's just really easy to use on the backhand. Using it on the forehand felt a little hard to use, lacking power.

First off, it's soft and sinks the ball in well. That's great for making up for weak impact or a lack of power. Basically, sinking the ball in and putting spin on it works best. It's easy to flick off too. Really easy to use on the backhand. It draws a solid arc, so you can swing away even from farther back and still do short blocks. The price is a sticking point though. In that case, you can just use Rakza 7 Soft, which has similar properties! It's a really good rubber, so definitely give it a try!

When people think of Butterfly rubber, Tenergy is the familiar name, but the FX has a lighter, softer sponge, which gives it an impression of also suiting meet-hitting. It has plenty of destructive power on the forehand, but on the backhand, control and spin are both at a high level at the same time, making chiquita and backhand drives easy too. It also seems to add spin automatically, which lets you build stable rallies. That said, it's a bit weak when it comes to grazing shots off the sheet. Since the sponge is on the softer side, sinking the ball in before hitting brings out the rubber's performance best.

I wasn't really skilled enough for it, but I'd been stretching myself to use the 05, until some more advanced players around me told me I'd be better off with a softer rubber, so I tried switching to the FX.
Whoa, it's so much easier to hit!!
Counters are easy to do!
For someone like me, only barely above beginner level, the FX is more stable and easier to use.
I stopped losing out in fast rallies too.
I wish I'd switched to the FX sooner.In terms of raw power on the ball, I think the 05 has more.
In terms of stability, the 05 FX is better.For someone with not much power yet, like me, I'd recommend the 05 FX over the 05!
