katsuo000_2 (Experience: More than 20 years) Surprisingly stable blocking!

      Reviews by user

Max thickness, 45g. Mainly used on my backhand side.
      1. A rubber that's perfect for the backhand.
      2. Blocking is super stable!
      3. Easier to get speed out of than spin.

When you really sink the ball into the sponge, you get that Tenergy-style spin and can hit deep balls too.
Compared to Tenergy 05FX, the spin is a bit less, but that also makes it less sensitive to the opponent's drives and smashes, so blocking was easier.
Tenergy 80 and Rozena are still easier to block with, and I think they're great for a grinding style of table tennis.
On the other hand, when I drive myself, the ball doesn't sink in as much and the power feels a bit weaker.
I think it depends on which one suits you or which one you prefer.
Personally I still like the 05 series better because it has a solid grip on the ball and the ball really sinks in.
Since it's soft, it's easy to bite into the ball on backspin shots too, so speed drives were easy to hit.
On the other hand, pushes and stops tend to float, so you need a delicate touch.
      Hope this helps.

The Battle of Minoshima! Tenergy, the balance within balance

      Reviews by user

Even among the Tenergy lineup, this one has a well-balanced feel.

The topsheet's softness conveys Tenergy's characteristic ease of generating spin, the way the ball bounces, and its forgiving nature.

This is for people who want to use Tenergy but also value that sense of balance.

Cutman (Experience: 6〜10 years) Just really soft

      Reviews by user

      It's seriously just so soft!
Maybe it's just because I'm not that good, but drives didn't get all that much spin.
Chops were a bit hard to keep under control, maybe because it's soft.
      Blocking was super easy!
      Serves were easy to control.
I don't think this is a rubber for choppers.
If anything, I'd recommend it for attacking players who are worried about their blocking.

Gengar (Experience: Less than a year) Perfect for your first Tenergy

      Reviews by user

I use Rozena on my forehand and this rubber on my backhand. The performance is nearly identical to Rozena. And since this one is more expensive, I'd recommend just buying Rozena instead. If I had to name a strong point, it would be the powerful drives thanks to the spring sponge. But since the performance is nearly the same either way, you're definitely better off buying Rozena.

Masato Tanaka 00 The essence of Tenergy

      Reviews by user

I'd recommend this for people trying Tenergy for the first time.

That's because it's nicely balanced — nothing about it stands out as extreme in any one direction.

That said, it's still Tenergy, so I don't think you'll feel like it's lacking.

If you're not confident in your power, use it on your forehand; if you are, use it on your backhand!

I used to have the old 80 on my backhand, but I switched to the FX because I couldn't swing through backhand topspin drives in important match situations. This rubber has a softer sponge, so it's also lighter in weight. Just because it's soft doesn't mean it lacks spin. I'd recommend it for players looking for a good balance of speed and spin. It's also a good choice for anyone trying Tenergy for the first time.
The downside is that it's expensive and the lifespan is a bit short.

ABC soup (Experience: 6〜10 years) The ideal backhand rubber

      Reviews by user

I've been using this on the reverse side of a Chinese penhold blade for about three months.
I used to use V11 Extra, but this lets me produce high-quality balls more easily than that. The ball also flies more faithfully in the direction of my swing. Since it's a Tenergy, it gets good spin. My backhand has felt great ever since switching to this. It's the ideal rubber for the reverse side of a penhold blade if you want both lightness and quality.
