This is a review from a chopper's perspective!
It doesn't get as much variation as the P1, but the pips tip over easily the way you want them to, so it was easy to use. For pushes, once I focused on making thicker contact, I could get backspin on them. For chopping, the maximum amount of spin is low, but you can get consistent spin. To put it negatively, that also means chops don't get much variation..
That said, for close-to-the-table unorthodox techniques like pushes and chop-blocks, it gave nice variation just like the P1.
I'd recommend this more for close-to-the-table unorthodox-style players than for choppers!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's easy to send the ball where you intend, and it adds variation too.

I switched over from the Curl P4V, and against spinny balls like the opponent's loop drives, I was able to get the ball in without getting overpowered. More than anything, it's easy to attack with — if you swing using your elbow as the pivot point, you can use it almost like inverted rubber. When attacking, instead of really swinging through, if you keep the racket face upright and push the ball out, even with pips you'll get it in about 80% of the time.
I think you can use this with confidence in matches.

Flick: ☆I borrowed this from a senior teammate and tried it out. The drive was average, but the chop has real bite. If you can get the ball flying just right, you can produce shots where the opponent can't tell if it's a knuckle ball or backspin at all. I'd recommend it on the backhand for close-to-the-table styles like blocking and countering, and on the forehand for chopping. Above all, it's easy to use.

The Curl P3α strikes a great balance within the Curl series between the P1's variation and the P3's stability, and it feels easy to use.
For reference, I used the sponge version of the P3α for several years, then about 5 months ago switched from the sponge version to the P3α OX and tried that out.
After using it, the OX felt like it stops the ball better and gives more variation than the sponge version.

This is an easy-to-use long pips rubber that combines stability with variation.
It gives solid variation while still being easy to keep on the table. That's the kind of rubber this is.
