This is the rubber I used to use. My blade bounces a lot, so I had the impression control would be difficult, but this rubber's sponge is just slightly on the soft side, giving it good stability, and I stopped over-hitting. The spin is decent, and I think it matches beginners to intermediate players well! If you're just starting out, why not give it a try?

I'm going to give my personal assessment of the VJ>07 Regular.
Topspin drive → easy to hit, but not much speed
Push → spins well
Block → average
Counter → easy to hit
Chop → average
Push block → easy to hit
Serve → averageThe techniques beginners need — serves, pushes, drives — are all easy to do with this, and it's cheap too.

Borrowed this from a friend to try out.
First off, the grip on the ball is strong and it's really easy to put spin on. Loop drives are quite easy to hit. Serves spin nicely too, so I think it's a very easy-to-use rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Switched over from Mark V.
Bottom line: it feels like an upgraded version of Mark V.
Just like the manufacturer says, it's well balanced, and I could pull off every technique easily.
I'd recommend it for beginners.

Cutman (Experience: ４〜５ years) Might suit choppers

I put the thick version on the forehand of a low-bounce chopper blade. Since it's thick, it bounces well even on a chopper blade. Forehand chops become what you might call heavy-spin chops. Whether chopping against a loop drive or a speed drive, if I got the angle right, the heavy-spin chop would land on the opponent's side just fine. Topspin drives were surprisingly easy to hit even with a chopper blade, and the ball dropped nicely on the opponent's side. Pushes bit really well too. The problem is blocking. If you don't get the angle right, the ball flies long. Still, you can handle most techniques without much trouble. I think the VJ>07regular is a rubber suited to both choppers and drive players.

I bought this to put on the forehand for my 3rd-grade beginner child. I tried it myself too, and it feels like if you hit it properly with good fundamentals, it lands on the table - I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to evenly build up their basic technique. However, if you don't follow through fully it catches the net, and if you brush it too much it goes too high. My child switched from Sriver EL, and says this one is easier to use.

I used this on the backhand of a shakehand 5-ply blade.
Serve
It's neither good nor bad - spin is a bit hard to put on, but the ball goes where I aim.
Receive
Harder to use than I expected.
Drive
There wasn't much spin so it was a bit hard to use, but the short game was fairly good I thought.
Block
It was easy to place the ball to different spots, this part felt a little easier to use.
Push
Maybe because it's soft, the ball sometimes floated up and got hit, spin was hard to put on.
Overall
