The new JOOLA Golden Tango is „Made in Germany“, combining the advantages of a tacky upper rubber, usually characteristic of Chinese rubbers, with the enormous elasticity and speed of a Tensor sponge.
This interaction results in a completely new sensation. The tacky surface offers maximum grip thus enabling loaded topspin and undercut strokes at the most extreme blade angles. JOOLA Golden Tango produces incredible rotation and an arched trajectory. The molecular structure of the energetic sponge underlay makes JOOLA Golden Tango extremely elastic and provides sufficient speed reserves to counter unexpected spin attacks. The sponge is very forgiving, therefore it also offers maximum control for all cut variations either at the table or from half-distance.

Here's what I look for in a tacky rubber:
- Amount of spin
- Moderate speed
- A tricky ball (heavy, sinking, extending)The Golden Tango is exactly the tacky rubber I was looking for—it keeps the spin of a traditional tacky rubber while boosting the bounce, and it produces that heavy, sinking, tricky ball.
If you feel like the Hurricane 8 doesn't bounce enough, or that the Xiang Long or Hurricane 3-50 produce a light ball without that tricky quality, and you have complaints or concerns about your current tacky rubber, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Pros
- The feel on contact doesn't feel hard, so you don't need monster power to handle it well
- For a tacky rubber, it flies with a good, solid amount of speed
- You can keep the ball firmly under control in the short game
- Easy to generate spin on serves and pushes, situations where you're not relying on the opponent's incoming power
- Plenty of spinCons
- Maybe due to the nature of the tacky topsheet, it's easily affected by incoming spin (blocking especially is tough until you get used to it)
A rubber I'd recommend to rally-style players who make the most of its heavy spin, and also to choppers thanks to its good balance of offense and defense.
That said, if you're used to a topsheet like Fastarc G1 that's - in a good way - insensitive to your opponent's spin, it might take you a while to adjust.

Used on a Butterfly SK7 Alpha. On the backhand I used Riser Pro 50.
Compared to Pro 50, the arc is overwhelmingly higher, and the spin is insane. My practice partner also said the ball from Golden Tango felt heavier.
Since it's a tacky tension rubber, you can keep your speed up even in topspin rallies — I thought it was a really excellent rubber.

Normally I use tension rubber on my forehand.
What stands out about this rubber is that the ball just keeps going up. Even from a light tap, the ball rises and rises.
Looping against topspin with my usual swing resulted in a 100% overshoot every time. But when I worked up the courage to swing all the way through, the drive flew in a high, swooping arc and plunged down deep on the table.
It's also great at lifting backspin balls, so chopping against a chop was no problem either.
Finer techniques like serves and stops stay controlled and don't run wild, true to a tacky rubber.
By feel and by the numbers, the sponge hardness should be quite firm, but when you actually hit with it, it doesn't feel nearly that stiff — it's easy to use.
The weight also isn't much of an issue compared to Hurricane, and it's easy to swing through.
If you want to use a tacky rubber but have given up because of the hardness or weight, I'd really encourage you to try this one.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The spin really is amazing, but the shots feel quite light.
Even accounting for the blade, it doesn't fly as far as tension rubber, but among tacky rubbers I'd say it's on the faster side.
If you're feeling like tension rubber isn't giving you enough spin, I'd recommend giving this a try!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's fast enough to hold its own against tension rubbers. The spin drops off a bit compared to a normal tacky rubber, but it still bites well. Being tacky, it's also easy to use over the table — you could call it a rubber that's overcome the usual weak points of tacky rubbers.

I've used this on my forehand ever since it was my first tacky rubber, and I still love it. The tackiness itself isn't that strong, so I boost the grip with a TSP tacky sheet. Of course spin bites really well on this rubber, but I think what's especially good is the stops, blocks, and counters. Thanks to the tackiness, stops hold their place really well. When you block, its natural lack of bounce shows through and the ball lands cleanly on the table. If you can counter with your own spin on it, it comes in at a moderate, stable speed, which cut down a lot on unforced errors on my end. The sponge doesn't feel as hard as the spec sheet suggests. I'd recommend trying this if you're someone who just keeps looping from close-to-mid distance, or someone who relies heavily on blocks and counters. (Boosting the grip with a tacky sheet makes the character even stronger, which I'd also recommend.)
