The new JOOLA Golden Tango is „Made in Germany“, combining the advantages of a tacky upper rubber, usually characteristic of Chinese rubbers, with the enormous elasticity and speed of a Tensor sponge.
This interaction results in a completely new sensation. The tacky surface offers maximum grip thus enabling loaded topspin and undercut strokes at the most extreme blade angles. JOOLA Golden Tango produces incredible rotation and an arched trajectory. The molecular structure of the energetic sponge underlay makes JOOLA Golden Tango extremely elastic and provides sufficient speed reserves to counter unexpected spin attacks. The sponge is very forgiving, therefore it also offers maximum control for all cut variations either at the table or from half-distance.

True to the tagline "a revolution in tacky rubber," this is a pretty distinctive rubber even among tacky tension rubbers.
The arc on your topspin drives is unusually high — it shoots up and drops right down onto the end line, so once you get a feel for that arc, you can gain real consistency. That said, depending on the blade, this arc can become uncontrollable.Thanks to the tacky sheet, the advantages are as follows.
- Serves and pushes have great bite
- Stops over the table hold their placeThe downsides are as follows.
- Blocks tend to go long
- Not all that fast
- Drives are light, so they're easy to block or counterEven though there's plenty of spin, drives somehow feel underpowered. I also tried it on my backhand, but the high arc made blocking difficult, so I gave up on that.
So far it's paired well with an ALC blade or a 7-ply wood blade.
I'd recommend this for the forehand of an intermediate, rally-oriented player who tried tacky rubber, gave up on it, and is currently using tension rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This has a performance like nothing else out there! It's hard to handle until you get used to it, but you adjust fast. Drives that look like they're about to fly off the table suddenly dip down sharply and land in! That trajectory, with a drop like Senga's forkball, is something no other rubber can give you! Stops hold their place, and serves and pushes have crazy bite. Highly recommended if you want a playing style that stands out from everyone else! Once you get used to it, it becomes a real weapon!

High arc — the ball tends to pop up higher even after it lands on the table.
The trajectory feels different from other tacky rubbers too, so my opponents had a hard time adjusting to it.
Spin bites well, and it's easy to loop against backspin too.
Flat hits are so-so.

Feels like it kept the spin of a tacky rubber but got a bit more speed.
Great for switching over from tension rubber since you can keep the same swing, so it's ideal for moving into tacky rubber.

The sponge has a soft feel that doesn't seem like 54 degrees, and it's usable on par with a tension rubber.
1. Weight
At mid-penhold size (cut about 1.5cm off), it was 47g.
2. Offensive technique
- Serve
Maybe because the sheet is soft, sometimes it's hard to get spin on with a brushing motion.
- Drive
The ball tends to rise easily, so drives stay stable and consistent.
3. Defensive technique
- Push
Sometimes trying to put spin on with the sheet doesn't quite work.
- Stop
Stops without any problem.
- Block

The sheet quality is good—it's a good rubber overall.
Good spin, good tricky-ball effect.
It's rated at 52 degrees hardness, but it felt softer than the Hurricane NEO 3.I think it's a rubber worth trying if you're making your debut with tacky rubbers.

I bought the thinnest option in the Golden Tango lineup, 1.8mm.
I'd used the G-1 before and liked it, so I was torn between the two, but taking the gamble turned out to be the right call.
I was honestly stunned that a rubber could change my game this much.I'd heard it was a bouncy rubber, but compared to tension rubbers, it barely bounces at all.
But when you swing hard, the spin, speed, and arc it produces are almost unbelievable.
It seems to extend and bounce high after landing on the table, making it hard for opponents to return.
I'd recommend a brushing stroke with it.
Since it doesn't bounce unless you swing hard, pushes and similar shots are easy to do too, so I think it's excellent.
Thanks to this rubber, table tennis has gotten even more fun for me.
I used to play close to the table, but from now on, mid-distance play is probably going to be my base.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
