The new JOOLA Golden Tango is „Made in Germany“, combining the advantages of a tacky upper rubber, usually characteristic of Chinese rubbers, with the enormous elasticity and speed of a Tensor sponge.
This interaction results in a completely new sensation. The tacky surface offers maximum grip thus enabling loaded topspin and undercut strokes at the most extreme blade angles. JOOLA Golden Tango produces incredible rotation and an arched trajectory. The molecular structure of the energetic sponge underlay makes JOOLA Golden Tango extremely elastic and provides sufficient speed reserves to counter unexpected spin attacks. The sponge is very forgiving, therefore it also offers maximum control for all cut variations either at the table or from half-distance.

A friend of mine was using it and let me try hitting with it.
First, for topspin strokes like drives, I didn't feel that much hardness.
Even without brushing hard yourself, the sheet grips the ball and sends it flying, to the point where you forget it's a tacky rubber.
It does have that tacky-rubber trait of the ball changing on the opponent's side of the table, but I felt it leaned quite a bit toward the tension side of tacky.That said, for weaker-impact techniques like light shots and the short game, I was surprised that it produced the kind of ball you'd expect from a hard rubber.
Pushes and stops in particular came out very low, and even rushed shots didn't seem to pop up easily.It's close to a tension rubber, but you still get more of that tacky-rubber ball if you consciously brush the shot, so if you're moving over from tension, I think it's better to be deliberate about brushing.
Also, since the rubber itself grips the ball to some extent on its own, I think you can get away with being a bit lazier with it compared to a hardcore tacky rubber.

I switched over from the Hurricane.
I thought the tackiness might be a bit lower, but it had just the right amount of tack, and I felt it bounced fairly well for a tacky rubber.
In topspin rallies, it generates a lot of spin with a low arc.
I felt this was a tacky rubber with nothing to complain about.
For fine short-game techniques like pushes and stops, I felt the amount of spin was increased.
I think it's a rubber that regular tension or high-tension rubber users could use just fine too.
Once you get used to using it, it's an all-around rubber, but I think it takes a little time to adjust.
I also found it difficult for about 2-3 weeks myself, but once you get used to it, it's a wonderful rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This was my first tacky rubber so I was a bit nervous, but I was able to get used to it quickly coming from a tension rubber. It's hard, but it didn't feel as hard as a 54-degree hardness.
What struck me while playing is that the amount of spin and sense of security on backspin hits and loop drives are insane.
Of course, since it's a tacky rubber, serves and the short game are also easy to do well.
Blocking and countering are harder compared to a tension rubber, but I had no complaints at all about the distance.
The rubber's durability was good too—it didn't chip at all. Though I did feel the sheet wore down a little quickly.

I switched over from Tenergy 05 but got used to it quickly.
The feel is pleasant, the trajectory is unique, and it's a fun rubber to hit with.
The performance is very good.
Even at the basic forehand-hitting stage, the ball flies surprisingly high.
Both speed and spin are excellent, and because it's a tacky rubber, it naturally produces that tricky ball.
Over the table, it really feels like a proper tacky rubber—stops hold in place well.
Since the ball flies high, you can still land it on the table comfortably even when playing away from the table.
Blocking is difficult, but countering is easy, so your defense naturally becomes more aggressive too.
Serves get plenty of spin, but I found them hard to control.
This is a rubber I'd recommend not only to existing tacky-rubber users, but also to anyone trying a tacky rubber for the first time.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

It's very easy to lift backspin with topspin drives. There are a lot of reviews saying meet-hits and smashes are difficult because it's a tacky rubber, but I didn't feel that way—smashes went in without any trouble.
The arc on drives is high, but after the bounce it shows that typical tacky-rubber change.
From here, this is a review as a chopper: chops are easy to keep controlled and easy to put spin on. It's easy to add variation too, though the ball is a bit slow so it might not be that hard to return.
As for bounce, it bounces a bit more than the VS401.
About the only thing I found a bit difficult was blocking—otherwise, this felt revolutionary even among tacky rubbers.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I switched over from the Xiang Long and am currently using this on my forehand. Compared to the Xiang Long, the arc on fast topspin drives is much higher and it feels more stable. With the Xiang Long, if you didn't have enough swing speed you wouldn't get spin, and lifting backspin with an awkward posture often resulted in netting the ball, but with this rubber it almost never falls into the net. The sponge is quite hard, but maybe because the sheet is soft, even light shots get plenty of spin, so it's easy to handle. Thanks to the hard sponge and tacky sheet, stops really hold in place, but despite that, the distance and speed on drives are on the higher end among tacky tension rubbers, and combined with that classic tacky sinking trajectory, the finishing power is quite high. The amount of spin is about the same as the Hurricane series, far more than traditional tacky tension rubbers. As for the harder techniques, it's very sensitive to the opponent's spin so blocking is difficult, and stops over the table held so much that I often netted them, but both of those stopped being a problem once I got used to it through practice. It feels a bit different from tacky rubbers I've used before so it takes some getting used to, but it's a very high-performance rubber, so I'd really like tacky-rubber users to try it.

Just like the title says, it arcs like crazy. Drives extend like crazy too. I'm the type who uses smashes a lot and prefers a flatter trajectory, so I didn't keep using it. But I think it would suit a player who pushes forward with topspin drives alone and wants that extension.
Also, this time I paired it with a Carbonado 45, but an all-wood blade might suit it better—it's still an unknown quantity, a quirky rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
