Cobalt rubber, another choice for our American hard bat fighters. It is an all rubber product, no fiber backing, thick enough that it will not curl when glue is applied. Very fast, for the offensive minded!

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This rubber easily produces knuckle shots and is difficult to apply spin, making it a distinctive rubber with strong characteristics. It is evaluated as a suitable choice for cutters and unorthodox players, with expected performance in defensive techniques like cutting and blocking, and front-court fast attacks.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Knuckle shots are produced very easily
    • Difficult to apply spin rotation
    • Excels in defensive techniques (cut/block)
    • Easy for touch shots and blocking strokes
    • Excellent cost performance
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveKnuckles appear very easily and properly control fast balls, allowing block shots similar to pimple rubbers. Touch shots and all table-top processing work smoothly and settle properly.
▽ CriticalBackspin attacks are too delicate to execute, difficult to apply spin intentionally, and challenging to handle topspin attacks.

Nameless beginner (Experience: 2〜3 years) Knuckle (no-spin)

      I used the large-pips X-1.
First of all, it produces basically nothing but knuckle balls.
      Smashes land fine.
I'd recommend it for close-to-the-table quick attack players and choppers.

Sujiko (Grain height beginner in the back rubber field) (Experience: 6〜10 years) Way too tough against topspin (though knuckle balls might be decent...)

      Reviews by user

I did some wall practice at home, and hitting topspin against topspin is really unforgiving with this one.
The reason for that, I think, is...
      The pips are short.
The pips are also thick — characteristics typical of short pips rubber, I'd guess.
That said, I think this could actually be a big advantage.
For example, it's easy to produce knuckle balls, and since the trajectory drives straight into the table, it's easy to imagine that opponents would have a harder time returning it. (Even though it's unforgiving, I can still manage to hit against topspin somehow, so I'll practice and get better at it.)
As for the feel, the rubber sheet is thick and highly elastic, giving it a pretty unique feel.

      Summary
Since I can't handle topspin-on-topspin rallies well (though the knuckle effect seems good), I'd say the control is on the low side. But I think that's true of a lot of OX rubbers, so it's probably not worth worrying about too much.

I use this as a large-pips rubber for backhand chopping.
It doesn't take much spin, and it's easy to produce knuckle chops.
I think it's a good rubber in terms of value for money.

It produces a ton of knuckle (no-spin). It absorbs fast balls really well and lets you block almost like long pips. That said, generating your own spin is hard, so honestly all you get is knuckle.
Your pushes and chops come out as knuckle too, but they land.

On offense, flat hitting and the short game in general are easy and the ball stays on the table.
I found looping against backspin difficult.
