I've played table tennis for less than a year, but I know a lot about rubbers. (lol)
I have short pips on my forehand. That's a bit unusual, right? (lol)
I wanted a speed-oriented short pips rubber, so I put on the Hammond FA Speed. It's well suited to backhand serves.
When I did a backhand serve, I couldn't even see where it went on the opponent's side.

I used this as my backhand short pips last year.
Comparing it to the Morist SP.
Backhand
This one felt harder and faster.
The Morist made it easier to hit balls with spin on them since it's softer.
Push
The Hammond is hard so you can push it quickly.
The Morist is slower, but the wider pip spacing made it harder to drop the ball.
Counter
The Hammond is hard so I overshot a lot.
The Morist is soft so it was easier to do.
Short game
This didn't change between the two.
Chop
The Hammond is sharper and more linear.
The Morist is easier to put spin on and also easier to control.
Forehand
The Hammond is easier to hit consistently overall.
The Morist is more about flat hitting.
Thickness
For a fast-attack style I'd recommend max thickness or MAX, for choppers medium or thick, and for forehand short pips definitely MAX.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Just like the name says, it's fast.
Even though it's not a tension rubber and it's soft, the ball speed is really impressive.
The sound and feel on contact are good too, so overall it's a really refreshing rubber to use.For a speed-oriented rubber, the pips are quite firm, so it does put spin on the ball, but things like knuckleballs aren't as pronounced.
As a speed rubber, it feels geared more toward spin and rally stability.Knuckleballs aren't as effective with the plastic ball, so this speed rubber, which is strong in rallies, has become really valuable to me.
I think it works well on both penhold and shakehand short pips setups.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

First off, the sound on contact is great!!
It kept the same slipperiness as the Hammond FA but the ball comes off faster, so sidespin blocks felt a lot easier to do. That said, push-type shots seemed to catch the net more often. The quality of high-toss serves, hitting shots, stops, and lifts (flicks) is very high, so I'd recommend it to players who like to take the initiative themselves.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Used on the backhand. Amazing for both chiquita and backhand topspin drives.
Pushing is neither particularly easy nor hard.

I have this in max thickness on the backhand of a wood blade. Forehand is G1.
Both the spin and the bounce are moderate, so it's very easy to use.
It doesn't feel too much like short pips, and the ball doesn't drop off suddenly, so it's stable.
But the ball comes off quickly, so it's easy to use for fast rallies, hitting, and countering.
Recommended for players with a fast pace.

Ya man (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Tension-type short pips

It's easy to put spin on and it bounces well, so both topspin drives and hit-through shots are easy to pull off. It doesn't feel much like typical short pips, but on receives, lifting backspin, and handling loop drives, it produces a natural, slightly nasty variation. I'd recommend it to players who want to attack from the backhand like with inverted rubber while playing at a fast pace.
