From trying it out, being a tacky rubber, it was incredibly easy to generate spin. I have long pips on my backhand and play a block-oriented style. I bought this rubber because it was well reviewed for being easy to block with. Drives were also easy to hit, and I thought it was good.

I started playing table tennis again after 36 years.
My blade is the STIGA Defensive Classic.
After a lot of thought, I went with the VJC07 for my rubber.
Both chops and attacks land with good balance.

Since it's described as a hard, slightly tacky rubber, I tried it out, and sure enough the sponge is hard - my impression is that women and elementary/middle school kids would need a bit of muscle to use it. When I started using it around early November, my impression was that drives and meet-hits were fairly easy to hit, but from around December the rubber got cold and stiff and I couldn't get consecutive drives in anymore. However, because it got harder, counters and blocks started landing better. It holds up well in the short game too, so I felt like this is a rubber you can win matches with. I put a disposable hand warmer inside my racket case to keep the rubber soft while I practice. It softens up to some extent, so if it ever gets too hard, give that a try.

Adhesive addict (Experience: １１〜２０ years) Ideal tacky rubber for backhand

I've used Chinese tacky rubbers, German tacky rubbers,
and Japanese-made tacky rubbers,
but this rubber is perfect for the backhand.
It's dramatically easier to use than other Chinese tacky rubbers and grips more than enough spin.
Blocking is stable too. Among tacky rubbers, it's really easy to loop against backspin. Of course, the short game is no problem either.Speed is a bit slow. That's probably its weak point. For the forehand, a sharper, more aggressive tacky rubber might be better.

I'll compare it to similar tacky tension rubbers (Xiang Long, Genesis 2).
First off, compared to those two, this one doesn't fly much. About on par with a high-elasticity sponge, I'd say.
In terms of spin, on the tacky-Chinese-rubber scale of only slightly tacky: Xiang Long > Genesis 2 ≥ VJC ≥ Genesis.
The price is about average.
It's definitely not for intermediate-to-advanced players. If you're intermediate or above, I think there are better options out there.
Put kindly, I'd say it's for people who are new to tacky rubbers. But if you've been using tension rubbers, I think you'll be unhappy with the bounce, so switching over from tension would be pretty tough.
So I'd say this is for people who've been using high-elasticity rubbers up to now and want to move into tacky tension rubbers.
That said, the hardness is firmer than expected, so compared to something like Genesis 2 Spin S or Genesis S, it's tough to use without enough power.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I used it on the forehand. I'm more of a hitting-style player, and it took quite a while to get used to it. Before that, I kept hitting the ball long a lot. When I did topspin drives, the ball would often slip and drop short. The short game techniques were easy since the rubber is hard. On serves, it was hard to put backspin on the ball. Other than that, spin was easy to generate. But I think rubbers like G1 grip more spin.

The topsheet is soft and tacky, while the sponge is on the harder side. Because of this, dwell time is good, and control is easy on both offense and defense. Drives don't have that much speed, but they grip spin well, so I think it's good for using loop drives to lift the opponent's block and then smashing the follow-up. Chops are quite easy to keep low thanks to the soft tacky sheet. It was far easier than a normal tension rubber. The spin quality isn't bad either.
Compared to rubbers made for advanced players, it doesn't have any especially outstanding performance, but it's plenty good enough for intermediate level. I think it's especially well-suited to intermediate-level choppers. Also, I tried every thickness, but since it doesn't fly much anyway, I'd recommend MAX the most.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
