    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
A unique sticky rubber with weak bounce that demands thin scraping techniques. Highly rated for cutmen and backhand use, but poorly received by tensioned rubber users and aggressive players, with evaluations varying greatly by playing style and skill level.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Produces high spin when thinly scraped, excels at serves and pushes
    • Hard sponge provides excellent stability in close-to-net play and blocking
    • Weak bounce and heavy weight unsuitable for drive-oriented speed players
    • Specialized for cutmen and backhand with distinctive quirky ball characteristics
    • Generally inferior to same-price competitors like Kyohyo
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSurprisingly compatible on the backhand side, making backhand drives easy to lift and blocking very manageable. With proper thin scraping technique, you can overwhelm opponents with spin.
▽ CriticalDoesn't bounce, lacks speed, and fails to grip despite being sticky. Lacks clear characteristics, making same-price alternatives like Kyohyo or Rakza Z more versatile choices.

Hisyou (Experience: 11〜20 years) Tacky but stable. However...

Butterfly never disappoints! I used a demo version.
      Pros
It's easy to create a low trajectory. Driving against backspin is effortless.
Drives (against backspin, against blocks, counters) are consistently stable across the board.
Stopping is quite easy too, though pushes don't fly much so they take a bit of getting used to. But they cut really well.
      Serves also cut really well.
Blocks don't fly much either, so it's firm but manageable.
I don't feel the hardness that much.
      Chops cut very well.
      Cons
Heavy... heavy... heavy... it felt quite heavy.
And despite being a heavy rubber, the ball itself feels light.
It doesn't fly. The ball is slow. If you brush it while making contact, you get a flat, spinless ball.

Overall, the performance felt like a cross between Tackiness and Rozena. It seems like it would be stable on the backhand, but the weight is a concern...
I'd recommend it as a forehand rubber for female choppers using pips or long pips.
Or it might also suit someone who doesn't mind the weight and wants a stable connecting drive and block on the backhand.
I'd avoid using it on the forehand if you're an all-out drive player.

Pin-chan (Experience: More than 20 years) Wish I had this in the glue era

This review is based on a sample.
Being a tacky rubber, it doesn't bounce like a tension rubber, but it still bounces plenty. Not bad at all as a tacky-tension rubber.
The sound isn't the high-pitched tension-rubber sound, but rather that characteristic tacky-rubber "thwack," yet it doesn't have that sticky, tacky feel. Maybe it's lightly tacky? Even without that sticky feel, it still gets plenty of spin, so the ball draws a nice arc without flying too high.
It feels a bit like a sibling to the Dignics 09C.
If a rubber like this had existed back in the speed-glue era, it probably would have been unstoppable.
