- The wide blade area makes it easy to generate power, thanks to the tip-heavy balance!
- The limba top sheet combined with the wide blade area gives outstanding ball-holding and arc!
- The flared area near the handle makes it easy to get a solid grip for forehands!
The blade surface is 158x150mm, 5.9mm thick, and this particular unit weighs 88g.
Compared to a regular size, the wider blade area shifts the balance toward the tip, and if you let centrifugal force work for you, it's easy to hit really nasty drives.
What's amazing about this blade is that even though the limba top sheet gives a pleasant hitting feel, you still get ball quality and spin on par with a blade that has a harder top sheet.
It's basically a god-given blade that combines stability and power in a way that normally can't coexist.
Meet-style shots are a bit harder to pull off, so keep in mind this blade is built for spin-oriented swings, backhand included.
Also, one distinctive feature is that the flared handle area sticks out quite a bit, which will probably split opinion.

Coming from an outer-blade Zegs Gear Out, I tried the inner-blade Hurricane Long 5, and since I was switching from an outer blade to an inner one, I first assumed it wouldn't fly much. But pairing it with Hurricane, even a big swing lands right on the table, which I thought was really great, and it also suits delicate movements for drives and blocks, so it really is a blade that shows why Ma Long uses it. I used to be particular about grip thickness, but this one is thin, which makes it easy to hit forehands — my strong shot and Ma Long's strong shot alike. Switching direction on the backhand also felt easy. It's expensive, but this is a top-tier blade! I'd recommend using it with Hurricane on it!

My impression after using it was the exact opposite of what I expected — I thought it wouldn't bounce much, but it's actually very lively, and I think it's precisely because I'm using Hurricane that I get both spin and power at the same time.

You basically never get net misses, and it flies really well. I feel like the forehand needs a Chinese rubber, or it'll fly too much to be usable. The backhand feels about right with tension rubber though.

When you can really swing hard, nasty balls come out, but
if you swing half-heartedly, the blade's strengths don't show at all, so I felt this is a blade only someone who can swing like Ma Long can really handle.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

After buying it, at first I thought it just flies and that's it.
But when you hit a forehand drive, the ball flies in an almost straight line and the power is insane.
Backhand drives have a stable arc, so they're easy to handle.
On top of that, delicate touch shots go in with fine, stable control.
It's truly a perfect fit for a blade used by the king of the table tennis world, Ma Long.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I tried hitting with a fairly hard tension rubber.
I believe it's an inner ALC, but ball release is faster than I expected, and I think it uses a harder wood for the top sheet.
Dignics 05 on the forehand was too soft, and I found it hard to keep counter-drives and blocks under control.
On the other hand, Tenergy 05 Hard on the backhand was too hard and released the ball too quickly, so my backhand drives against backspin kept catching the net.
I feel like Hurricane-type rubbers work well on the forehand, and Tenergy 05 or a softer tacky tension rubber works well on the backhand.
Personally, compared to a Zhang Jike ZLC, the hitting feel is softer, but ball release felt quicker.
The blade itself reminded me of a Timo Boll Spirit.
Compared to the Timo Boll Spirit, it has a softer hitting feel and is easier to handle, while still having power that's fairly close to the Timo Boll Spirit (an outer ALC).
Ball release is quick, but I think initial ball speed is faster on the outer ALC.
As for combining a second gear, or combining speed and spin together, I think this blade beats the outer ALC.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
