    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The Target Pro XD 52.5 is evaluated as a rubber that achieves excellent speed and spin performance while being surprisingly easy to handle despite its high hardness. Weight is a drawback, but with proper adjustments, it is recognized as a viable option that can fully demonstrate its capabilities.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Surprisingly easy handling and approachability for a 52.5 hardness rubber
    • High-level balance of speed and spin performance
    • Tenacious gripping feel and excellent ball control
    • Heavy weight requires proper equipment adjustments
    • Excellent stability in drives and serves with minimal durability degradation
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpeed, spin volume, and stability are all at a high level, effectively inducing over-hits from opponents with drives. Even after 4 months of use, degradation is minimal, making it a reliable rubber.
▽ CriticalThe heavy weight requires careful selection of rackets with smaller face areas or strategic placement adjustments. It tends to go over the table when not hit with proper compression.

katsuo000_2 (Experience: More than 20 years) A heavy Tenergy 80!

      Reviews by user

Listed as Reinforce AC, but I actually hit with it on an OSP Virtuoso AC blade.
Cut to 158x150mm and glued on, it weighs 54g. Hardness meter (Tenergy 05 reference): topsheet side 47.9 (44.6), sponge side 43.6 (43.3)
      - Outstanding speed and spin performance!
      - Easy to handle - you'd never guess it's a 52.5!
      - A heavy, high-spin rubber in the Tenergy 80 mold
Apart from the weight, the feel on contact was Tenergy 80-like, with the ball sinking in and a fast ball trajectory off the blade. But since the spin performance is also high, it draws a solid arc, and the spin amount is outstanding - even a low-level backhand loop drive got the opponent to overshoot. It's easy to sink the ball into, and I think it feels more like a genuine Tenergy than the Dignics does.
Compared to post-Tenergy tension rubbers like R53 or MX-D, this one holds the ball by sinking it in more. Even so, it's easier to hit fast balls with than DNA Platinum XH, and I felt the overall balance was extremely high. Just like with other rubbers, even if you rate its performance conservatively, it's on par with Tenergy, so it's a good option. It's heavy, so if you take countermeasures (a blade with a smaller head, or gluing it further from the grip), you should be able to bring out the rubber's performance to the fullest!
Just something to keep in mind.

Front team haste Latest in the Target series

      Reviews by user

From the name alone it sounds like it'd be hard, but that wasn't the case. My own feel puts it at around 49-50 degrees. No complaints performance-wise. That said, it apparently is a bit heavy. I usually use Hurricane with Turbo Blue, so it didn't feel that heavy to me, but a lot of other reviews mentioned it being heavy.

Hide (Experience: More than 20 years) Next level

Currently using it at max thickness on my forehand.
My level is advanced on the forehand.
I've been using it since release and I'm still using it now.
Speed, spin, and stability are all top-tier.
Before this, I was using the Target Pro 51 on my forehand. I switched because this was billed as an update.
The 52.5 feels better to use overall.
Flicks are easier with the 51, but the 52.5 wins in every other respect.
I practice about once a week for around an hour.
It's been about 4 months now and it hasn't degraded much.
      Serves spin really well.
Drives easily draw overshoot mistakes from opponents.
      Control is good too.
I like it, so I plan to keep using it without switching next time.

Studying table tennis (Experience: 6〜10 years) Bounces nicely

      Reviews by user

This rubber just bounces a lot. But if you really sink the ball into it, you can hit a drive with plenty of spin. Whenever I couldn't do that, I overshot for sure. Because of the bounce, even pushes tended to fly off before I could really put spin on them. As a comparison, I tried Rakza Z and Fastarc G1 on the same blade - balls that would land in with Rakza Z went long with this rubber. It feels somewhat similar to Fastarc G1, but again, this rubber tends to overshoot in the same way. That said, if you sink the ball in properly, I think you can hit a faster, more spin-heavy drive than with either of those two rubbers.
