Sriver FX combines the traditional Sriver rubber surface with a softer, more elastic sponge layer.
This combination allows the ball to sit on the rubber surface a little longer to generate more spin.

I used this on a Timo Spin, not a Timo Boll ALC, with speed glue and Sriver FX on both sides.
It's a great rubber - when you really swing through it, the spin and speed on a topspin drive are fantastic.
You don't see it much these days, but if you prefer a harder rubber over the soft Mark V, it's definitely worth trying. The best thing about Sriver is that it's cheap. At this price, you could even switch it out for every match.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's especially recommended for players who want to swing a backhand that needs stability.

As a close-to-the-table blocker, I use this on my backhand. No matter how powerful a drive or smash comes at me, the soft sponge absorbs the power so I can block it reliably. On top of that, I can also extend shots, stop them dead, or send them side to side. The sheet isn't overly sensitive, so my receives are rock solid too. In modern table tennis this might be the only way to play with it, but it's a fantastic rubber that reliably lands in the court with no long misses.

It's quite soft. Because of that, blocking is stable. The speed is modest. The spin is decent.
Since the switch to plastic balls, harder rubbers have become more popular, so this probably doesn't see much use anymore, but I'd recommend it to beginners looking for a soft rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

I can't help comparing it to Mark V - next to it, this has a higher arc and a softer feel. The bounce is maybe about even between the two? I feel like Mark V has less quirkiness.
