I'd say its main weapons are speed and power. Flat hitting, kind of like with short pips, is really easy to do, and it's easy to send your opponent's blocks long.
Thanks to the light tackiness, the ball doesn't drop off easily (though every once in a while it does, maybe from an incomplete hit), and it seems to rein in the flight distance a bit — even at 50° sponge hardness, the ball still lands within the table pretty reliably.
It's easy enough to put spin on, though not crazy amounts, but if you throw in an occasional loop or spin-focused drive while attacking with flat hits, you can generate enough spin to bait your opponent into overhitting.
On serves and receives, with the 50° sponge and light tackiness, when I tried short serves I kept putting a lot of spin on them but they didn't carry enough and I got a bunch of net-in serves. Seems like it takes some getting used to. Stops are easy too, taking advantage of the lack of carry, but since the spin isn't that strong, watch out — if the ball pops up it's easy for your opponent to flick it.
You really need a firm impact or it gets tough, but I think it's worth trying for early-to-intermediate players who love flat hitting and smashing.
