Feint Soft is a standard long pips-out rubber that is outstanding for chopping against topspin drives.
The long pips send your opponent's spin back to him/her.
Usually used in combination with a high spin inverted rubber to force errors from the opponent.

This is a rubber built entirely for stability.
It barely produces any variation, but in exchange
the ball stays stable.

I tried it just for fun, and I'd say it's one of the more user-friendly long pips rubbers out there.
It's not affected much by the opponent's spin, and I could also chop from further back.
As always, Butterfly products are reliable no matter what.

I'm a chopper. I used the thin version. Unlike a normal long pips rubber that just absorbs the ball, chops with this one sink in and then fly out, so the chop goes in deep. Maybe because the sponge is thick, it's easy to control knuckle balls and sharp spin changes, and the feel on impact is like a much softer version of short pips or variable pips. It was also very easy to keep chops low against smashes. Pushes get spin on their own without even trying. The spin sits somewhere between inverted rubber and short pips — I think it would spin even more with a faster swing.
Attacking shots are easy to sink the ball into, so they're easier to hit than with variable pips, and you get about as much spin as regular short pips. It doesn't perform like a long pips rubber at all. Backspin balls were also very easy to hit. What surprised me most was the counter-hit — the ball didn't drop, it flew out and carried, which was a really impressive trait. I get why Ho Cheuk-kei uses this.
I'd recommend it to choppers who focus on variation, or unorthodox close-to-the-table attackers like Ho Cheuk-kei, who want to add spin or attack with pips. Definitely give it a try. (The guy boosting Butterfly's sales) lolAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

This isn't for players who just want to block everything with pips, but if you're a player who attacks with pips, or you're currently swinging your backhand with half-long pips, this is a rubber worth trying at least once.
It doesn't give you as much speed as a tension pips rubber, but you get a real sense of the ball sitting on the pips, so it doesn't drop and you can hit it consistently.
If you've used short pips before, the difference is small enough that you'll adjust right away.The variation isn't huge, but it's easy to attack with overall, and since the bounce is kept low, it's also easy to block.
I think this rubber deserves more attention.

I've used a lot of different long pips rubbers so far, and
Feint Soft had the best control of them all.
It stops solidly on blocks.
I used the thin version,
and since the sheet and sponge are soft,
if you sink the ball in you can even generate spin of your own,
and besides pushing, you can also attack flat.
That said, precisely because it's easy to attack with, it's a bit less effective than other long pips at inducing mistakes from the opponent.
It has its trade-offs, so if you're looking for a long pips rubber close to a variation-oriented short pips rubber, it might be worth trying.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

Tried this out in the thin version of Feint Soft.
It's long pips, but you can hit it with a short-pips-like feel.
A loop drive is tough, but a speed drive works to some extent.
As for variation, it feels a bit lacking.
On the other hand, you can put a small amount of spin on the ball, so you can use sidespin, and as a result, if you do a sidespin short you can produce a shot that curves a little.
As a rubber it's neither particularly good nor bad, and the variation feels lacking, but if you master it well, it's a rubber that can really blossom.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

It's just really easy to put backspin on. And since the ball goes into the court easily, I think it's easy to use for practice. That said, if you just tap it in, the amount of spin is basically nonexistent, so you do need to be conscious of how you make contact.
