Feint Soft is a standard long pips-out rubber that is outstanding for chopping against topspin drives.
The long pips send your opponent's spin back to him/her.
Usually used in combination with a high spin inverted rubber to force errors from the opponent.

Praised for ease of use and control performance, gaining support from beginners to anomalous speed-attack players. While low in variation, stability and ease of attack compensate for this weakness.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points

    • User-friendly among pimple rubbers, playable with soft-racket feel
    • Capable of imparting spin while enabling both offensive and defensive play
    • Small variation range; lacks typical pimple rubber characteristics
    • Possesses ideal basic performance for pimple rubber beginners
    ■ Representative Voices

so sa (Experience: 4〜5 years) My first long pips

      Reviews by user

This was the first long pips rubber I ever used.
It's really easy to use and incredibly stable. There's not much variation to it, but it has decent speed too, and if you want to stop the ball, it stops. If you want to get bite on a push, you can get bite. It's just easy to use all around. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone using long pips for the first time.

Kamacho (Experience: 2〜3 years) You can add variation

      Reviews by user

I'm a chopper in 8th grade. Here are my thoughts after using this rubber!
It's just plain easy to use, above all else!

Chop: You get sharp chops and can also produce that knuckle-ball effect typical of short pips - great!

Push: Swing fast and you get insane bite!

Punch: Not much variation to it.

Everything except punches is great! Good value for money too! Overall, it's the best!

      Reviews by user

I think this is a really good long pips rubber.
Spin reversal doesn't feel very strong.
Chop-block short shots are easy, and they get proper bite on them too.

It's just a genuinely good rubber
Attacking is easy, and blocks get at least the minimum bite you need
This might just be my lack of skill, but pushes are hard to put spin on and I tend to catch them in the net
That said, after chopping down the opponent's drive, I'm able to follow up with an attack

Glass man (Experience: 4〜5 years) Great starter long pips

      Reviews by user

You can learn the basics of long pips with this rubber.
It has a track record of use by top players too, and it's very easy to handle.

The fact that it's easy for you to handle means it has less of that reversal/variation quality typical of long pips, which also means it's easier for your opponent to return
so after you've picked up the basic techniques with it, I think it's a good idea to switch to a variation-type or stability-type rubber depending on your preference.

Sergei You can chop reasonably well on your own

      Reviews by user

It doesn't feel much like a typical long pips rubber, but it's reassuring because you can control the depth and height of the ball easily.
As for spin reversal (honestly, since we switched to plastic balls, I do wonder if that effect even does anything anymore lol),
there's basically none... it feels more natural to generate your own spin by swinging through.

Pushes get decent bite. But since Long 3 exists in the long pips world (lol),
picking this rubber just for pushes feels like the wrong call.
Even just tapping the ball gets it in reliably, so I'd recommend this to players who just want to chop and grind it out.

      Kaolin A beginner's long pips

      Reviews by user

I'd recommend this to players just starting out with long pips, but honestly, the Feint Long 2 or Feint Long 3 are about the same price and probably a better choice. This rubber has basically no quirks and is built purely for ease of use, so in that sense, I'd recommend it as a first rubber that can become your baseline for comparison going forward!
