I heard it doesn't slip, so I tried it out.
It's not that fast, but the grip on the ball is so good you'd think it wasn't even short pips - it never slips and drops the ball, and you can put topspin drives on it almost like inverted rubber. It's a strange one.
Trust me and give it a try just once!

I was talked into using long pips on the backhand, feeling kind of tricked into it.
Chopping is easy to do.
Honestly, unless you practice a lot, you can't use things like blocking well. (just my personal impression)
On the other hand, contrary to how it looks, smashes go in pretty well.
It feels like it flies quite a bit, so I think it takes time to get used to using it.Overall Speed Spin Control

Since it's a STIGA German-made tension rubber, I put it on a Clipper Wood and tried hitting with it.
Being 50 degrees, it feels a bit hard.
It gets spin, but if anything, my impression is that the arc is on the low side.
Including the short game, it's a bit hard to control, so it's a rubber that takes time to get used to.
It has bounce and speed on hard hits, so you can attack even from mid-distance.
I think it's a somewhat difficult rubber that intermediate players and above can handle better than beginners.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Of all the blades I've tried, this is one of my top 5.
First off, it works well with any rubber.
It has a good balance for serves, the short game, blocks, topspin drives, and both attack and defense, and somehow it cuts down on mistakes.
It would be perfect if it had just a little more bounce...
The grip shape fits my hand well and is very easy to hold. (ST)

Since it's a rather soft rubber, I use it on my backhand.
It bounces more than expected.
It's also easy to put spin on, so I think it pairs well with a hard blade.
The V42 has a lower trajectory, so I'd recommend both for the backhand, but in terms of stability the R42 might be better...Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
