    The first rubber to be introduced with Yasaka’s Hybrid Energy system was the Rakza 7, which is highly valued by high class players all over the world. The latest addition to the Rakza family is Rakza 9, which has improved speed characteristics. The surface rubber of Rakza 9 has a newly developed formula/rubber combination. In addition the new sponge is made of a more homogenous material and has larger pores. Rakza 9 is the fastest of Yasaka’s Hybrid Energy rubbers and is suitable for technical offensive players, using both high speed and spin to win the point.

      The trajectory is low, and it bounces back exactly as much force as you put in.
      It's built for speed, but you can also tell they tried hard not to sacrifice spin performance.
      When you really go for a full swing it can feel like the ball flies too far, but once you get a feel for how much to hold back it's not a problem. The topsheet grips properly, so you can hit flat shots with confidence too.
      It works on both forehand and backhand, but I'd lean toward recommending it for the backhand.

      It's marketed as a spin-oriented tension rubber, but honestly it feels like it could just as easily be classified as speed-oriented.

      The feel is on the soft side, it bounces quite well, and if you put in the spin, it responds in proportion to how much you put in.

      I'd say it's for people within the Rakza lineup who want to add a bit more speed.

      My impression is that the ball flies on a trajectory that's hard for opponents to read.

      The feel is actually different from the popular tension rubbers out there — it has a soft, cushiony feel.

      It's soft so it's easy to handle, and it's not expensive either. It is a bit on the heavy side, though.

      If you want to win using a rubber that's different from what everyone else uses, this is worth considering.

      This is a rubber that wins precisely because it doesn't follow the times.
      Its grip on the ball is about average, but speed drives — especially that one big shot against backspin — are something else.
      Another strong point is that it can smash right through the opponent's spin without losing to it.

      I get the impression not many people use this one within the Rakza lineup.
      The trajectory on drives is low, but if you loop it a bit it clears the net fine, and even when you back off the table, backhand drives still carry through well.
      The straight trajectory makes it a strong point-scorer too — backhand smashes with a snap of the wrist especially drive right into the opponent's court.
      Control is good too, so blocking is stable.
      I use it on the backhand side of a penhold blade, so I can't say how easy the short game is with it, but as a rubber dedicated to the backhand side for attacking play, I think it's really solid.

      I was looking for a rubber with a low arc that's easy to use for the short game, and this is what I found.
      Speed drives and pushes come off it easily, which was great.
      It's also good for the backhand side of a shakehand blade — for players who just want to block, or who want to nail their blocks with confidence.
      The price isn't too high either, so I'd recommend it.
