Vega Pro feels spin-oriented, while Vega Japan feels more speed-oriented. It's like Tenergy 64 with the performance dialed down a bit and the grip turned up. At first it bounced too much for me to use, but I gradually got used to it and speed drives became easy to hit too. It has great value for money, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a rubber like Tenergy 64.

Speed-oriented rubbers usually have bad control, but this rubber controls really well! It's an all-around rubber.

It really has speed! Also, since it's not a tension rubber, it doesn't automatically add bounce or spin on its own. I'd recommend it to people using a wood blade who want more speed, or people who want to attack aggressively on the forehand.

Counters and flat-hitting shots were really easy overall! That said, it does feel a bit slippery. I'd recommend it for players who play close to the table.

  • Acoustic Carbon

    User review

I bought this because a carbon version of the Acoustic came out. But it turned out to be totally different from the Acoustic. The Acoustic's selling points are its flex and control, but the carbon version bounces a ton. On top of that, it's harder to control. Since it's a completely different blade from the Acoustic, I wouldn't recommend it to people switching over from the Acoustic. But if you want some flex in a carbon blade, I'd recommend it! Using a slightly softer rubber might make it easier to control.
