I used the medium thickness for chopping. Personally, I found that knuckle chops and knuckle blocks work really well against opponents. Just playing normally with it already annoys people a lot.
That said, it takes time to get used to, so I wouldn't pick it as your first short-pips rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It doesn't have the sharp bite of a tension long pips rubber, but the control is good, so you can clearly vary your pace between fast and slow. As you improve, you can also vary between heavy and no-spin, so I think it's good both for choppers and for penhold long pips players.

I used max thickness on my backhand. It's a spin-oriented tension rubber, but personally I found blocking and flat hitting easier than with other rubbers. The connecting loop drives also stayed low, which left a good impression. At the time I was using a Nittaku Acoustic blade, so a slightly hard rubber wasn't a problem, but if you put it on a really fast blade you might lose control.

This is a blade you can buy as your very first one when starting table tennis and keep using for a long time. A lot of individual blades run on the lighter side, so as a beginner you can pair it with control-oriented or high-bounce rubber, and once you improve, switch to a heavier spin-oriented tension rubber - you can keep using it the whole way.
