*This review is based on briefly trying a friend's racket after they had this re-glued on.
It just didn't bounce at all.
It felt similar to when I used Hurricane a long time ago. It does generate spin, but I can't recommend it to people who prefer flat hitting. Serves and drives got a ton of spin no matter what. I felt like you need the skill to let the ball really sink into the rubber before hitting it.
I felt it would pair well with a blade that has good distance.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard
Recomend racket Timo Boll W5

*Memory from a year ago
It really flies and has good speed, so hitting against chops was easy.
Topspin drives are doable too, but a ball hit with about 70-80% power ended up being more like a smash with a bit of spin. I'd recommend it to people who can control their power well.
Personally, I found backspin serves hard to produce with it.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
Recomend racket Timo Boll ALC

I have it on my backhand with Max sponge.
I replaced it after using the "Ventus Speed," but the feel didn't really change.
I wasn't good at receiving serves on my backhand, so I decided to take the plunge and try short pips for the first time with this rubber. I've been using it, re-gluing every so often, for about 2-3 years now and I really like it.
I especially want backhand-serving players to give this a try. It doesn't grip for spin as much as inverted rubber, but it gets enough spin to catch opponents off guard.
Drives you're just trying to get in tend to go in almost every time.
The short game is really easy overall.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
Recomend racket WANOKIWAMI REN OFF

This is the first horizontal-grain pips rubber I've used, and I really like it. What I like most is how easy it is to drive with, and even on the backhand I can still produce serves with sharp spin.
Fake chops are super easy to pull off with this.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
Recomend racket Timo Boll ALC

*This is from an intermediate player who full-swings on every single ball (lol).
I currently keep two blades in rotation with a Timo Boll ALC (ST), and I bought this one about three years ago.
Comparing it to the Timo Boll ALC, I found the "Wa no Kiwami - Ren -" easier to control. My impression is that it flies when you want it to fly, and doesn't fly too much when you want to stop it. Since it's a 7-ply blade, it's quite thick, so you really get that feeling of air resistance when you swing it.
Right now I have V15 Extra on my forehand, but it also felt like a good match with the Omega 7 Pro I used before that.
Based on trying out various rubbers, I think harder rubbers pair well with it.
It's easy to put spin on your serves, so I'd also recommend it to anyone looking to score service aces.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
