Right now, players like Masataka Morizono, Ito, Kenta Tazoe, Koho Kimura, and countless other top players use it and keep performing well and racking up results — that's its biggest appeal. I heard Kasumi Ishikawa used it in the past too, and I really felt it has that level of performance. Using it on the forehand, I'm very satisfied with the power and control. On the backhand it felt very stable! Smashes depend a lot on swing speed, so it tests your skill. Drives go in with a bit of a slipping feeling if you brush the ball, but they still land. If you let the ball sink in, you get both speed and spin. Also, for close-to-the-table play, it goes in whether you hit it flat or brush it. Chiquita was easy to add variation to with this rubber, which was great! Blocks were also easy and it felt like the ball stayed on the table — a really good rubber! If it's a Nittaku rubber, I'd say this is the best one! I think the strength of this rubber is that it lets you achieve both offensive and defensive skills at a high level. The rubber itself doesn't bounce all that much, so for men, a blade with more spring is probably better. That said, it's easy to use with any blade. Even with a springy blade, blocking was still easy. Also, now that a MAX thickness version is available, I feel like the range of players who can use it has widened.

Feature 1: Overwhelming speed performance and a sense of reassurance
It seems that a lot of people who actually try it are surprised by its speed performance. Even with light hits, the speed and spin are more than enough. The way the ball flies is said to give the impression of a fast ball that still carries an arc. This shows it truly has the trait of letting you unleash aggressive shots with a sense of reassurance. Feature 2: The rubber is hard, and the ball comes off it quickly
Another major characteristic is that the rubber is on the harder side — the ball releases quickly, and it's said to be less affected by the spin the opponent puts on their shots. Because of this, you can return the ball accurately to where you intend without being thrown off by the opponent's shot.
For women players who want to keep up with modern table tennis, this speed performance is said to be a reassuring weapon. With drives, meet-hits, and blocks all excellent, it's truly a rubber that's good both on offense and defense, so women players can use it with confidence. Fierce speed — in other words, it's a rubber that comes in handy for players who want speed. It's said to feel more broken-in the more you use it, but because both the sheet and sponge are inherently hard, it's a perfect rubber for players who are confident in controlling fast balls and who want even more speed.

Speed, how much knuckle you get, how easy it is to hit — whatever angle you look at it from, this is the best rubber I've ever used.

    User review

I used this from 5th grade through my second year of high school, back when the Tenergy series was still 6,300 yen tax included, before the price went up.
Back then I didn't have much power, so I couldn't use hard rubbers at all.
What I wanted from a rubber at the time was
    1) speed, 2) spin, 3) distance, 4) control, 5) softness, and I was looking for something as soft as possible that still had power - this was a perfect match, so it's the rubber I used the longest in my life.
The speed is right up there among the top one or two rubbers I've ever used.
However, once the price went up to what it is now, I had to give it up for financial reasons, but I'd like to use it again once I can afford it.
Later I had a bit more money to spare, so I used it again for a month.
When driving against backspin, at my level, using it on the forehand felt like the ball dropped a little short.
Still, it's such a good rubber overall that I keep debating whether to go back to it.

  • Royal Large

    User review

I use Royal Large at max thickness on my forehand.
My impression is that it has decent flight, and among large-ball rubbers, it generates good spin and has good control too, so honestly I have no reason to switch away from Royal Large.
This is as of October 3rd, though...
The one thing I searched hard for something to dislike about, though, is that despite being short pips, it doesn't produce knuckle balls very easily — but since I use it on my forehand, not getting knuckle balls isn't a problem for me.
