It gets a lot of praise on social media and in videos, and it really is a good racket.
A 5-ply that's easy to handle but still has power.
It's a matter of preference, but I'd recommend a slightly heavier one, around 90g.

The grip is hollow, and it produces a sound on impact that doesn't feel like a typical 5-ply. Meet-hitting with Mantra rubber feels great, and it produces more power than the catalog specs suggest. Comparing it to the Azalea Offensive, I'd put it this way: the Azalea is for stability or unusual rubbers, while the Energy Wood is for two-winged topspin driving.

I've used all sorts of rackets over the years, but this is the one that's suited me best so far.
For a while I even used carbon rackets like the Schlager or the Timo Boll Spirit,
but I came full circle and ended up back with wood.
A 5-ply really is great. The feel comes through in your hand, and it's easy to control.
Personally I'm aiming for a low-error game rather than an overpowering one, so this hit the mark perfectly for me.
It has more power than the All Round Evolution or the Korbel, and if you swing it, you get good speed too.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I've used all kinds of rackets over the years — outer, inner, all-wood — but in the end I felt special-material blades just weren't for me, so I came back to a 5-ply.
Until recently I was using the All Round Evolution, but I felt it was a bit lacking in bounce, and that's when I came across the Energy Wood V2. I was curious about the WRB grip, and that's what led me to buy it.
Actually using it, the feel, the arc of the ball, the control — and if you swing it, you get decent speed too — made me feel like I'd finally found the eye-opening racket I'd been looking for.
I'm going to keep using this as my partner for a good while going forward.

Back in the 38mm ball era, I fell in love with the feel of the All Round Evolution and used it for years, but once the ball changed to 40mm, I couldn't find a racket with that same feel, and I ended up swapping through all kinds of rackets over and over.
Then one day I saw a test-hit video of this racket on YouTube and thought maybe this could be it, so I bought it.
It feels like reuniting with an old friend I hadn't seen in years.

I bought a heavier unit at 93g.
It has that stability you only get from wood, and the ball settles really well.
Drives and smashes feel great, but when blocking, unless you push into the shot a little, it feels like it absorbs too much of the incoming power.
Also, if you swing with too much force, the ball can drop short or fall shallow, so I'd say this is worth trying for anyone stepping up from a beginner racket, or anyone who feels their current inner-carbon blade bounces too much.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Right now I have DNA Platinum H max thickness and DNA Pro M thick on it, but since I just re-glued recently, please read this assuming the rubbers are DNA Pro M thick on the forehand and Vega Elite thick on the backhand. As for my level, I'm about a junior-high player who makes the third round of the Tokyo tournament.
First off, this racket's biggest strength is its absolute stability. Even if you hit sloppily, as long as the rubber itself is stable, the ball tends to go in. Drives come out with plenty of power, and the short game is easy too, since the WRB system shifts the weight toward the tip. The feel is on the hard side (pairing it with German rubber is incredibly refreshing), and combined with the power it almost feels like there's an inner carbon layer in there — but when blocking, the wood absorbs the impact really well. That said, because everything about it performs well, there's no one standout trait, so it might not suit players who are extremely attached to one particular thing. I think this racket suits drive-oriented players who block relatively often and also want power on their drives. But honestly, it can handle just about anything except chopping. If it weren't for the Cyber Shape design, I think this would already have a full page dedicated to it in the catalog.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
