: Jan-Ove Waldner has been to table tennis what Mozart is to music. Waldner was a fan of the standard blade DONIC Waldner Senso Carbon for many years. This legendary blade has, however, been further developed and improved, in collaboration with the greatest table tennis player of all time. DONIC has designed a faster version of the Waldner Carbon blade. The Waldner Ultra Carbon is a light Carbon blade with impressive ball control and feel - ideal for an inspirational player. The increase in speed is due to hard Carbon plies which have been placed around a relatively thin middle veneer. The inner and outer veneers with varied hardness give this blade superb touch - typical of Waldner.

At 81g, this is quite light for a carbon blade.

You can really sink the ball in and drive it, and since it bounces well, powerful topspin drives are more than possible too.

It also fits well with Tenergy 64.

Sho-go (Experience: １１〜２０ years) For all-wood fans

First of all, I think this blade suits wood lovers more than special material fans.
The feel is soft, and you get a real sense of the blade wrapping around the ball. I was using an outer ZLC blade before this one, so it might have felt even softer by comparison, but the ball-holding sensation was strong enough to make me doubt there was actually carbon in it.
One thing I noticed about this blade is that it doesn't have all that much bounce.
Also, the sweet spot is really small.
If you hit it right on the sweet spot you can produce powerful shots, and the snap does have that carbon-like quality.
But the sweet spot is small... really small....
I recall Table Tennis King writing about the Waldner series before, and honestly, the more I use this blade, the more I feel the gap between it and an actual Waldner.
Also, the egg-shaped blade with the round grip typical of the J.O. shape is probably irresistible if you're a Waldner fan, but be careful if you've never used one before — holding it, I found the throat cutout too small and it felt a bit off in my hand.
This isn't a blade that makes things easy for you, so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get scolded by Waldner.

It's excellent when it comes to combining speed and spin, but being carbon, control is tough for beginner/intermediate players. It doesn't suit harder rubbers—I'd recommend pairing it with a medium-hardness rubber, and it's best for intermediate players and above!

Shoo A racket packed with performance demanded by advanced players

Bounce
It has both the typical carbon bounce and the sweet-spot bounce of a flexy blade
Spin
Even with all that speed, it still grips the ball nicely for spin
Control
Combined with the unique feel, it's easy to overhit or over-spin the ball, but that just takes practice
Feel
The best. It has a softness that doesn't feel like carbon at all, plus a solid core that holds up even on hard hits

Overall
Since it's light and doesn't feel stiff, it looks like it wouldn't bounce much, but it actually flies quite a bit
So it takes some getting used to, but in short:
light, fast, and a soft feel is everything! This blade nails it.
