    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This outer-type racket is valued as an entry-level option with good speed and balanced rotation, but players are divided on whether its fast ball release and linear trajectory suit rotation-focused playing styles.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent speed performance with moderate bounce
    • Fast ball release, but control is good for an outer-type racket
    • Requires technique to apply rotation; compatibility varies by playing style
    • Split opinions on hitting feel and sound characteristics
    • Particularly effective in short-range play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being an outer-type racket, it has good ball retention and pairs well with sticky rubbers. Well-balanced speed and rotation, with easier control compared to other outer-type rackets.
▽ CriticalThe soft wood produces linear flight trajectory, making rotation application feel awkward. It underperforms compared to other Butterfly outer-type ALC rackets and is challenging for players who prioritize heavy topspin.

Junior high school 2nd year boy (Experience: 2〜3 years) Flies too much

      Player reviews

I only tried this out at a shop demo, but
it flew way too much and really didn't have enough arc,
so I couldn't lift backspin balls at all.
I think it does have speed, so unless you're really good at using your body
and can put a lot of spin on the ball,
I think it'd be tough to use. Against topspin, though, it's probably insanely strong. The feel on contact honestly felt great. It made a sharp "crack" sound. The rubber was Tenergy 05.

A high school student who likes clingy things (Experience: 11〜20 years) Isn't this just the best

      Player reviews

Comparison with the Fan Zhendong ALC:
      Bounce → not that explosive
Ball-holding → it's an outer blade but holds the ball firmly
Release → comes off the blade nicely
I feel like it pairs incredibly well with tacky rubbers or rubbers with a high trajectory.
Personally, the domestic Hurricane (Guokuang) might work fine too (as long as you can swing all the way through).

      Brush (Experience: 2〜3 years) Nice

      Player reviews

As expected, since this is an outer-type blade it gives you speed, and it's nice that it bounces just the right amount.
Spin might be a bit hard to put on at first,
but if you really try to spin it, you can get a ton of spin.
      Control is so-so.
The ball releases fast, so that part can't really be helped.
But compared to other outer blades, I feel it's easier to control.
The feel on contact makes a good impression on me personally.
Overall, I think this is a pretty good blade.
If something isn't going in with this blade, it's a lack of skill, not the blade.

Gengar (Experience: 6〜10 years) A good entry into outer blades

      Player reviews

      Mine weighed 85.3g.
Overall it didn't feel like it flew much.
On light hits it felt soft, and on hard hits I could feel the fast ball release, but it didn't feel like it had that much speed.
Topspin drives from mid-distance would fly off before I could fully get the spin on them, coming out as straight, spinless shots.
So I felt it would be tough for players used to inner blades who like to add spin and drive the ball.
That said, using it close to the table gave a very good impression — I think it's good if you're conscious of hitting backspin balls before the peak and swinging compactly on topspin.
Overall I felt it's good for someone starting out with outer blades, but it didn't suit my playing style.

I personally think the Outerforce ALC is a really great blade.
Some people write that it doesn't put much spin on the ball, but it actually gets plenty of spin, and the speed was better than I expected too.
Control is relatively easy, and the feel on contact had a bit of a wood-hitting sensation to it (though in my case I've got side tape on it, so I can't say for sure).
Overall, compared to ALC blades like the Fan Zhendong ALC or the Harimoto ALC, it might fall a tiny bit short, but I think it's a blade that performs well above what the numbers suggest.

      Akkai-kun Hmm...

      Player reviews

First off, the wood is soft, so compared to Butterfly's other outer ALC blades (Zhang Jike), the Outerforce makes a knocking wood sound. (Conversely, the Zhang Jike's wood is hard, so you can hear the ALC material's sound clearly.)
So people who dislike the sound of the hit will probably dislike this.
As for speed, it's naturally slower than Butterfly's outer ALC. It's faster than an inner blade though.
I thought it might be an easier-to-handle outer blade, but it surprisingly flies quite linearly, so you need to consciously generate your own spin. (It felt more linear and had a lower arc than the Zhang Jike.)
The spin is so-so. With something like the Zhang Jike, if you grip the ball for an instant and rip it, you get tremendous spin, but maybe because the wood on the Outerforce is soft, it felt like a mushy, dull kind of spin, which I didn't like.
In the end, I thought this might just be an easier-to-use version of Butterfly's outer blades, but it's really not that at all — it feels like a totally different blade.
For me the Zhang Jike was overwhelmingly better, so even though I've only used the Outerforce once, I'm selling it.
