MA LIN SOFT CARBON has the same outer veneer as the famous EXTRA blade. Its medium soft characteristics is appreciated by players who want increased ball feel.
In SOFT CARBON Yasaka is using a special, very thin Carbon fibre to improve the speed and enlarge the Sweet-spot.
Together with the thicker wooden middle veneer it gives good power.
The combination of the “power part” (carbon+thicker middle veneer) and the softer outer veneer makes Ma Lin SOFT CARBON the perfect choice for power players who need a good ball feel for best performance

Among carbon blades, this one has a soft feel and makes it easy to hit fast topspin drives.
I switched from a soft 5-ply blade, so at first it felt hard and the ball left the racket quickly, but I got used to it with no problems.
On the other hand, compared to a 5-ply, the ball leaves faster, so I felt less affected by the opponent's spin on receives and blocks.
That said, a 5-ply makes it easier to put spin on the ball, so this might not suit people who rely heavily on loops.
It's very easy to hit flat shots and smashes with.
I think it's a blade with a good balance of offense and defense.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch

Tenergy matches really well with this blade.
Personally, putting Tenergy on it is quite a bit better than the Innerforce series or the Timo Boll series,
though of course preference varies from person to person...The first good point is
it holds the ball incredibly well.
I think this is the best I've experienced among all the blades I've used.
And it's not that speed suffers — it still makes good use of the carbon to produce a decent amount of speed too.The second good point is
that the ball goes exactly where you aim it.
Maybe thanks to the soft feel and good ball-holding, when you put spin on a drive it traces a nice arc and lands right where you're aiming.
This consistency is really reassuring to have in a match.Good ball-holding and the ball going where you aim —
thanks to these two qualities, it's become a really great blade.
I definitely recommend giving it a try!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch

I'm still in my first year of junior high, and I was trying to buy the Ma Lin Extra Offensive,
but since only the soft carbon version was available, I ended up buying that instead.
This blade matches with pretty much any rubber
and is easy to control.
The handle is thick so it's not really suited for Japanese hands,
but if you sand it down a bit you'll get used to it eventually.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch

Being a soft carbon blade, it has good bounce but is still easy to control.
That said, the Ma Lin Extra Offensive is easier to control, so if you like carbon blades but prioritize control, I'd recommend this one.
Stops and flicks are far easier to do than with the Ma Lin Carbon. But when it comes to how easy countering is, I'd say the Ma Lin Carbon has the edge.
