It's fine to put your rubber on either side, forehand or backhand, whichever you want to put more spin on. I'd suggest putting Flyat Spin on whichever side you want more spin from.
5-ply wood + ultra-thin carbon
Compared to other carbon blades, ultra-thin carbon is by far the best in every way except control. Since the carbon itself is thin, it's really light. So the blade ends up light too. If you're someone who thinks "heavier is better," using grip tape or a heavier side tape might change things a bit for you.

I've got short pips on my backhand. It's got speed, so I think a spin-oriented short pips rubber gives a good balance. On the forehand, the ball flies well even from away from the table. (I don't really know about lobbing — the ceiling at my practice hall is too low to even try it.) I think a tacky rubber or a high-tension rubber works well.
Overall I think the control and speed are good. Some people might find it a bit soft though.

It might just be how I hit, but spin is easy to put on and it's faster than a wood blade. That said, since it's carbon, you'll probably feel it's hard the first time you hit with it.
It doesn't bounce a ton, so if you're after a lot of bounce, I'd recommend a different blade.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I bought this as my second blade.
My impression, I'd say, is that it's easy to use.
It's easy to control but lacks speed, so I think it's suited for beginner-to-intermediate players.
I was using tacky rubber on it, and I really couldn't get any speed out of it.

I'm a chopper, so I use this for chopping, and it doesn't fly too much — it hits with just the right feel, which is great. On top of that, depending on your swing, you can put a lot of weight into your smashes and topspin drives, which I really like.

I bought this as my second blade. As for rubber, I think the Fastarc series works better than the Flyat series. Fastarc G1 especially is what I'd recommend. That said, you can still get plenty out of it with the Flyat series too. Sorry for the long post!
