15 years ago, back in my school days, I switched from a 5-ply Primorac because I wanted more power on my shots. Compared to the typical flex of a 5-ply, this one feels like it flexes less, but it still generates good spin, and I felt it was on the faster end for a 5-ply blade. It's fairly thick, but since it's light in weight, even with spin-oriented tension rubbers on both sides, I personally didn't feel it was too heavy. However, after the switch to plastic balls, I felt like I just didn't have enough speed and my drives felt weak, so I decided to get a new blade. I think this is a blade I can recommend to people who just started table tennis, women who aren't fond of heavy blades, and anyone who prioritizes consistency over raw power. Butterfly has renewed their blade lineup, but the fact that this one is still in the catalog says a lot about how well it sells (sadly the classic SK7 has been discontinued...). If weight is an issue for you, I'd recommend this one.

This blade has extremely good balance. It's easy to put spin on and easy to control. That said, it's not lacking in speed either. The blade is thick, so it produces speed you wouldn't expect from a 5-ply. There's no technique it struggles with, and I think it's a blade with no real weaknesses. The feel is very much like a classic wood blade. Rather than the sharp shock-to-the-hand feel of a typical 5-ply, it has more of a soft "pok" feel like a 7-ply that doesn't shock the hand much. I think players who use a 7-ply and want more spin could switch to this (even though it's a 5-ply lol).
I'd recommend this blade not just to beginners but to intermediate players too. The blade itself is light, so you can pair it with today's heavier rubbers, and it has no quirks, making it very easy to handle. Its performance might be close to the Swat. If you're currently struggling to choose a blade, this is definitely one I want you to try ♪Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

I think it's a blade that's easy to control and will last a long time.

Light and easy to handle, with a high level of spin and control.
I don't feel much flex from the blade, but it grips the ball well on topspin drives and produces a high arcing trajectory. Especially with Vega Japan, my loop drives get an insanely high arc and land safely on the opponent's side every time.
Compared to carbon blades it's a bit lacking in bounce, but it still gives plenty of power.
The feel is mild and doesn't shock the hand too much.
When you hit the ball just right, it gives a firm yet gentle, very pleasant feeling.Since the spin and control are so good, I'd recommend it to players who mainly rely on steady topspin drives.

It's light, so it's very easy to handle and control, and since it's easy to swing through, my topspin drives are quite consistent.
The feel is very soft and doesn't shock my hand much, so personally I really like it.
The bounce is just okay, but I think it's a blade that works well for a wide range of players, from beginners to intermediate.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch
