Soft, and light.
Much easier to handle than a heavy blade like the Korbel.
Even for beginners, it's a perfect fit without bouncing too much.
If a blade doesn't fly at all, that can actually hold back a beginner's progress, but that's not the case here — it's a pretty good blade.It's also reasonably priced, so if you're buying your first blade, I'd say pick this one, the Swat, or the Allround Evolution.

As you can see from my table tennis history, I'm a beginner.
This was the first blade I ever used, and the thing I noticed most was
that it's "really light."
You might think a light blade doesn't produce much speed, but this blade gets more speed than I expected.
It doesn't put a huge amount of spin on the ball. But the control is the best, so it's a versatile blade that works for beginners all the way up to intermediate and advanced players.Sorry if that sounded a bit full of myself

This blade is light, first of all.
And it has that classic 5-ply feel.
The blade is on the thicker side but it's not an overly fast blade, so it doesn't demand much of your rubber choice either, meaning it can be used by a wide range of players, from people just starting table tennis to intermediate players looking for consistency.
It has few quirks and is a good blade, but I feel like it gets overshadowed by other 5-plies like the Korbel or the Allround Evolution — I think it has good enough balance that more people should be using it.
The one distinctive thing I noticed was the thick, chunky grip — it's the type you can hold firmly, so if you like a thick grip and the ball-holding feel of a 5-ply, it's worth trying at least once.

Of course, this has absolutely nothing to do with the Mace, the arylate carbon blade that used to be sold (lol).
The Mace also had a slightly thicker blade compared to the Timo Boll, but this blade is quite thick for a 5-ply.
And it's soft. The ball seems to grip onto it well.I don't think overly hard rubbers suit it that well, but thanks to the blade thickness it doesn't flex too much, so I don't think you need to be too picky about rubber choice. It handles attack, defense, and the short game all without issue.
If you want to put on a spin-oriented tension rubber, this might be easier for beginners to handle than something like the Korbel.I personally like the way it flies when blocking on the backhand side.

It doesn't care much what rubber you use, it's light and easy to handle, and it's cheap too
— for those reasons it's a perfect blade for beginners.It doesn't have much speed, but the control is good
and it's easy to put spin on, and since it's light, smashes and
drives are easy to pull off too.The one I bought was around 70g, super light,
but given how light it is, I think you could still
swing through even with a somewhat heavier rubber attached.Personally the feel was quite soft, so
if you want more of a solid feel, I think it's a good idea to

It's light and affordable, so I'd recommend it for beginners. Basically any rubber you put on it will work well. It also pairs great with the Tenergy series, so I think intermediate and advanced players could use it too.
