It doesn't ring much in your hand, so the feel is pleasant.
The bounce is just right so chops land on the table nicely,
so I'd recommend it for beginner choppers.

Nishino (Experience: 2〜3 years) Chopper conversion

      Player reviews

First off, the control is good, and topspin drives and smashes are really easy to hit (the ball goes right where you expect). I'm using Curl P3 and Tackiness Chop.
      Extra thin and thin.
What I noticed is that thin inverted rubber doesn't really suit this blade for a chopper (I think that's true in general).
Something like Vertical 20 on the pips side
and Mantra M on the backhand
      seems to work well.
Or maybe VS 402 or something like that.

      21-year-old cutman (Experience: 6〜10 years) A great-value chopper model

      Player reviews

I bought this to try out since I heard Koji Matsushita used to use this model at one point.
The going price for a new blade is around 3,500-4,500 yen, so it's a good deal. When I actually used it, the bounce was on the restrained side and chops didn't fly too much, which felt good. I think it's a model you can use for a long time, from beginner choppers up through intermediate players.
Downside: the blade is thick and somewhat heavy (mine was 92g), so with inverted rubber on both sides it ends up around 190-200g total, which is a fairly heavy racket.
On the flip side, that might actually be a good weight if you're using long pips on the backhand side.
Also, I've used the blue version from this Astron series before, and both share the same thin grip, so if a thin grip works for you, I think it's a good blade.

I got this as part of a set on a flea market app and tried it out, but honestly it's no different from a beginner blade. I think something like a Sanalion would be a better buy than this.

It's a defensive blade with a feel that has no quirks and excellent control. I'd recommend it to anyone who's built up some fundamentals in table tennis and is thinking about switching to playing as a chopper.
