The soft surface keeps the ball in contact with the blade longer, which lets you generate more spin, and the feel when hitting the ball is really good. This blade also works well for countering and attacking, but it's a bit slow and doesn't have enough power once you move away from the table. In short, this blade is really well suited to choppers — it gives you great feel and control on defense while still offering above-average attacking ability.

This is my 7th year since I started playing as a chopper at age 57.
I've gone through a lot of blades: Kouji Matsushita Special → Kouji Matsushita → Hadraw Shield → Wa no Kiwami -Ao- → Tirna → Kouji Matsushita Special → Gouriki Danshi → Masamune → Defensive Classic → Kouji Matsushita ZC → Gouriki Super Cut.
Every one of them had its own character and was a really great blade.
As a beginner, I think any of them up through the Hadraw Shield were stable and easy to use.
As my skills as a chopper gradually improved and I started winning more matches, I found myself chopping more from close to the table through mid-distance.
I needed low, fast chops, pushes, and balls with varied spin.
It also became important to hit topspin drives and smashes without mistakes.
On top of that, opponents' strong drives and smashes increased.
I felt the Gouriki Super Cut was a blade that could handle all of that.
It seems like it would help players trying to move up from intermediate to advanced level.

I have Hurricane thick sheets on it, and the spin, bounce, and stability are all excellent.
A great racket to recommend to choppers.

I was amazed at how easy the regular Gouriki was to use, and the moment the Super Cut came out I bought it and I've stuck with it ever since!

First, the weight that's typical of Gouriki blades. Mine was 108g, but since the balance sits toward the tip, it feels a bit heavier than the actual weight.

Topspin-based techniques are generally easy to pull off, especially blocks and counters, which are very stable.

Because the blade is heavy, no matter how hard the ball comes in, I don't need to close the racket face — I can hit the ball with my normal swing.

Now, for the main event — the backspin/chop techniques — there's nothing to complain about at all!! Both chops taken right next to the table and chops taken further back come in low with a straight trajectory.
A hard chop and a no-spin chop also come in with almost the same trajectory, so this is a great recommendation for anyone who wins points through variation in their chops.

Whether it's pushes with or without backspin, or low, short stops, or "miyuta," whatever I try comes out exactly as I imagined!
Honestly, I almost resent Nittaku for not having sold this while I was still a student (lol)

The list price is 30,000 yen, so it's pricey and not that easy to commit to. But if you really want to win, I'd love for you to try this as a chopper!

The feel is soft and it flexes nicely.
Being a 7-ply blade, blocks are also stable.
The speed is on the mid-slow side, though from bouncing the ball on it, it felt more like a straight mid to me.
The handle is a bit flat.
